Hey thanks for watching. From what I know the trout are mostly upstream from the falls. Although I personally haven't caught one there I have seen a guy get a 40cm or so brown there.
@@yep.fishing OK, for not-exactly-a-trout-stream, it's a very ordinary looking waterfall and river. Its more picturesque than a straight out roadside drain, but essentially it is bereft of any real bush, so it lost most of it natural beauty. But that's Warrnambool I spoke. The local people have gotten used to life without trees and bush, apart from Cyprus and the odd bit of regrowth, and so think that a big drain running over a cliff is beautiful.
Beautiful place
It really is!
I currently live in Warrnambool, such an amazing place and hoppkins falls is absolutely supreme
Yes I agree, Tower Hill is also spectacular to have close by
Yeah 👍
Hopkins River mouth is magical too if the weather is nice
Looks great. I used to live in Warrnambool many many years ago and remember going there but never fished there.

when
Can’t remember what time of year. Was 2 years ago probably
Looks like a drain. Any trees or bush?
Are you saying it's ugly?
@@yep.fishing Well, as far as Victorian waterfalls and trout streams go: yep!
It’s not exactly a trout stream. It’s near the coast

It’s not exactly the Grampians but it’s better than nothing
God's country!
Yea, next time I'll stand right near the falls, that will make for a nice video. But I think most of the trout are upstream from here.
The falls look good with plenty of water flowing, but fish are off the chew unfortunately
Yes and upstream is better for the trout apparently. They are stocked upstream from here.
Is it easy to go from warranbool twon
Yes it sure is. It's maybe 10km north east of town. There is a carpark, public toilets etc there too.
