Thanks for sharing, i am curious why dont you use a R8XM receiver in stead? it is a bit more expensive but it is capable to provide telemetry of your battery flight pack. Thanks
Hi Alex! Yes, I have a couple installed in other aircraft. I performed a review of the R8XM over a year ago ;-) I use what I have on hand. At the moment I don't have a spare R8XM.
@@GroundControlRC Are you planning to check out the SpeedyBee F405 WING MINI FC? Would like to see a review of your from it! The few others I've seen online have been pretty positive about it.
@@shadow7037932 I haven't looked at that FC as I usually just use gyros for wind mitigation and as a parachute button if needed ;-) I currently have several of the Byme-A and Byme-D Gyros on hand and couple of other gyros I haven't had time to review. If they will send me one I'd love to review it.
I think next week i will pull the trigger..it would be nice to have a second 3d type plane...there are no surprises and worries with these once you have them set up...was the wire gear good?
I will probably put on bush plane type wheels...i will get the kit version..i may make it a 2 to 1 thrust beast..but even your stock setup is plenty powerful which is unusual for a pnp ..
So is stock motor and prop is what you stuck with..seems plenty peppy ..it also is a lot like my hummer profile 3d plane, but may more locked in do to its sturdiness..
@@GroundControlRC The US doesn't charge import tax on goods from China priced under US$800. I understand there was some commotion over this when Bush Jr enacted it (something about undermining US manufacturing jobs by allowing US companies to take advantage of -slave- cheap foreign labour...).
*US$234.16* to the UK. Nice plane but I can get equivalent alternatives for far, far cheaper. *Edit:* US$162 to Ireland & Germany. Prices like this is why I haven't brought from Banggood for over a year.
@@GroundControlRCThanks for trying. The kit version, which I actually prefer is on Aliexpress for about half what BG wants. Seems to be some profiteering going on (again), and if that's the case and BG doesn't want my money then I can live with that.
Holy Crap Batman! It's back on Sale! $92.99 Volantex Saber 920mm Wingspan
www.banggood.com/custlink/GKvV4TAWaP
Probably the best deal for what you get for sure...volantex really makes some great models
.
I do like volantex planes and I have had a few of them
That was a beautiful landing Tony!!
Thank You David!
I like the way this one just floats in on landing ;-)

Great flying Plane!
The gear is a bit springy and has held up well with the soft landing.
I think this is one of the easiest to land planes I have.

Yes, except for the larger wheels I put on it, it's completely stock.
Great flying plane with excellent power ;-)
Damn... BG wants $150 USD shipped to Canada. But I see it's only $93 USD to the USA.
Ali express is cheaper and the shipping to Canada isn't any different. This plane is a steal over there.
Hum....I don't understand that.

I see you didn't install the little extra wing that goes on top of fuse...can you tell me why? I guess it helps 3d pilots more..
I just didn't like the look of it ;-)
It seems to fly and handle just fine without it.

Yes, definitely makes a difference where you live.
I try to include multiple vendors but sometimes that's hard to do.
