They are both great tanks but if i had it to do again i would choose the 29 only because there is more room for growth, with that said im pretty sure that it would work the same for any size tank, eventually you will fill it and want bigger. Currently i am working on building a 40 gallon breeder complete with a sump/refugium. Video's coming soon
