  • How to become a SUPER COMMUNICATOR!
In todays' episode of The Ed Mylett Show, you’ll learn EASY steps to become a MASTER COMMUNICATOR with me and my phenomenal guest, Charles Duhigg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning genius whose work has revolutionized how we understand habits, productivity, and the art of communication.
I've always said that the ability to communicate effectively is a major component of what separates the good from the great. Whether you're leading a team, building a business, or just trying to make meaningful connections, how you express yourself and connect with others is crucial.
Charles is here to share his groundbreaking practical steps on not just how to talk better… but how to truly CONNECT with anyone. It's about making every conversation count, making sure you're not just heard, but that you're truly engaging the person on the other side of that conversation.
Here's a sneak peek at what you’ll learn:
ACTIVE LISTENING and how it can change the way you relate to others.
Understanding the real PURPOSE of conversations and how to deepen them beyond the surface level.
Tailoring your communication style for different scenarios
Special tips for INTROVERTS to shine in their interactions.
The magic of asking the RIGHT QUESTIONS to create a two-way street of genuine connection.
Handling tough conversations with grace, setting boundaries, and choosing the perfect moment to engage.
The importance of teaching our kids the subtleties of effective communication from an early age.
Deciphering and leveraging non-verbal cues for a fuller understanding of every interaction.
The technique of MIRRORING to build instant rapport and trust.
If you're ready to boost your confidence, forge stronger relationships, and unlock a new level of connection, then honing your communication skills is non-negotiable. It's all about being mindful and intentional with your interactions, every single day.
If you want more confidence, connection, and success, become a SUPER COMMUNICATOR!

I think everyone has a half hour or so when they are driving or being driven somewhere, I utilize that time by listening to podcast. Almost all of Mr. Mylett's podcast, I listen while I'm driving. Ed in my opinion takes the time to break down the content he is speaking about. Most people he interviews are discussing the lessons they've learned in a life time or a book, which takes "hours" to read, and puts all this content into an hour. Taking the time to listen to eachother is lost today, just like communication. Appreciate the value that Ed is offering in his podcast, they are a unique conversation with another person. To not listen to the entire segment the message and emotion would get lost. So treasure, what you are hearing during the podcast. There are valuable lessons to be learned. Breaking down these conversations would devalue their worthy content.

Listened with the intent to ask questions! Ordered the book half way through the podcast. AND had an AHA moment with the way in which I need to change how I listen to my daughter! We just had a disagreement last night in which I can NOW see I totally handled it wrong, BUT after listening to Charles, I got this! I am going to chat with her this evening and see if I can make things better between us by the way I communicate with her. I need to put away the practical mom hat and just listen with emotions, not practicality.

    So much to unpack here!
    1) Whenever I am Networking, my favorite question to ask: "Who is your favorite person you got to help this week?
The answers have opened some pretty incredible conversations, and even led to business relationships.
    2) My Dad was a master at engagement, holding court in any room he entered.
At his funeral, I was doing that with all of the people who came to pay their respects...and many said I reminded them of him.
    3) After years of effort, I have reached the point where people tell me they can 'hear me' conversing with them...even in written form and facial expressions/gestures on-camera.
SO MUCH GOLD in this conversation...thank you Ed and Charles!

Great video Ed. Entrepreneurs should note that active listening isn't just about hearing words; it's about understanding the emotions and intentions behind them. This can significantly improve your cold email responses because it allows you to tailor your message to address your prospects' underlying concerns, not just their surface needs.

I have had a person do the ‘so what you are saying is …’ but they were always wrong. I wanted the person to not translate what I was saying cause I know that things can be totally off by the time a 3rd person hears it. Do I let them translate every time?

Why do we want other people to feel something? I am to avoid people at all cost.

Please remove music in background, drowns out what is most likely great info.

Can we just have like 5 minute 10 minute content I definitely never have an hour or 2 just to sit and listen to people even if the content is valuable id love to watch it it’s just it can never reach me there’s too much going on already and people vying for attention

I get that but ED packs A LOT of value into these hours- they are worth breaking down into 10 minute chunks - or watch on 2x speed !!!

Get a room you two. Feel like I just spent 20 minutes listening to a stroke off.

I like it better when it's just Ed talking. This guest doesn't even go to the gym. Respectfully I don't trust people that don't hit the gym.

Communication is about just communication. Listening is something else. Communication is delivering your thoughts.
