Make sure not use 0-20 oil grade in this car… must b 5-40 grade i was facing same error with my car khari gari pa kacha dhuan white color… ideal pa rich rhti ha gari… average b thk aari meri chnge the oil mujy b yaqeen nai aara tha ky oil sy difference asgta but jb mny sub kuch kr lis tha end ma mny kaha machinic ko chlo ye shoq b pura krlo oil chnge krlo i was using previously 0-20 luqi moli in my turbo civic or oil chnge ky bd set hogai 5-40kixx dala tha phir😂😂

I restore vehicles and i also know a bit about this stuff. If car is increasing fuel trims in idling and they get normal running then to me it seems that there is a vacuum leak in the system in the intake. Please thoroughly check it, replace intake rubber gaskets and check intake thoroughly, intake can also suck extra air if car brake booster diaphragm starts leaking so also plug brake booster vacuum line and take readings. Hope it may help, best of luck 👍🏼
Did all of this off camera. Vacum leaks was the 2nd thing i checked after my fuel pressure.
@@Caristaniyan If fuel trim is higher then there are possible two reasons, either there is more air entering the system as i pointed out to check vacuum leak and second possible reason could be a plug not firing that will result in unburnt clyinder gases reaching O2 and it will sense oxygen in it (since it will not be burnt) and it will start increasing trims. Check coil packs. There can be one faulty coil causing this trouble 👍🏼, hope it helps

Replacing ECUs without disconnecting battery??
The replacement ECU was tuned for a 3L engine and this one is a 2.5. If the ECU thinks its connected to a 3L engine, it would still be dumping the same amount to compensate for engine size and showing less trim. Still it doesn't explain reduction in unburnt fuel...

Bravo, great work and a great episode. Appreciate your grit. As I mentioned in my earlier comment, working on such cars where you don't have a foundation to go off of is impossibly difficult. Like in this case, the foundation i.e. the car ECU couldn't be trusted, the VVTi was from some other car and who know what else has been screwed in this car. If it was not throwing a code even when straight piped that in itself is a red flag. Anyways, its a great learning experience. Good luck.
