      Yes! We are scared lol, it’s a 1996 Coleman. Didn’t even have a battery so we couldn’t test anything. We are broke now, so we are going to start with cleaning her up, and testing what works then making a list. So grateful how much you guys explain! Seriously good resource. I sub, like, and share a bunch. Let’s get you paid!

    Thank you for your awesome content! I am a single mom who is trying to make memories with my kids. I bought a 2000 Rockwood Freedom and the previous owners said it had good bones but then proceeded to give me the list of things that needed to be fixed. I have been binge watching your videos! We took her out for a first trip to a local campground so my father could come rescue me if I needed it...but so far so good! My daughter can’t wait to work on fixing her up with me. Thank you so much for your info! Love it!

    Your videos are awesome!! We are going to buy a pop up from a friend, ( Coleman Fleetwood Niagara) and it has heavy roof leakage issues. I know nothing about these campers and at 60 yrs old I’m finally getting one. I know we have a lot of work to do and your videos are so helpful. You explain things simply and clearly for this girls ol brain. 😄. Thank you so much for sharing.. 🙋🏻

    Great tutorial, very informative for those who are new to popup camping. I am quite sure there are a lot of newbies out there that would gain a lot from an additional interior walkthrough. Most that are new to popuping, and bought a used unit may have questions, that is why we recommend your channel. As always keep the content coming when you can, and do not forget to get out there also. Hope to see you out there.

    I wish somebody would do more walk thru's. I was living in a tent in winter and nice people gave me a 1990 240c skamper camper i can't find a manual and i won't even attempt to connect it to power or propane because it's old and sat for a couple years open. Im afraid of burning it down because i don't know anything about it and can't check things i don't know anything about

      I also have a 95 that I have modernized to today's standards. Good luck with that lift system! That's probably going to be your biggest challenge. First off by just figuring out how to remove the panels that hide all the cables and pulleys and secondly by knowing what to look for to detect damage to any part of it.

    Would you happen to have a video about sanitizing the fresh water tank? Many others say to do this before you leave, then drain the water when you get there to get the bleach water out after it has time to slosh around while driving, then refill at the campground.
    Ok, I see their point, to a point.
    But Who wants to drive/tow with 160 extra lbs on their pop up, (if a 20gal tank). We have other supplies in there, and we have a limit of 3500 lbs on our tow vehicle, which we don't ever want to get up to.😯
    Is there a sanitizer method besides bleach that is available to campers as used by dairy farmers? I'd prefer that. I'm not fond of bleach, but even less fond of what germs could be lurking in there.
    I know it says in our Jayco manual 1cup per 15 gal, or abouts.
    Thanks!

    First I'd like to say thank you for the great content. I have learned a lot in just a few hours. Sadly, I wish I had found your channel prior to purchasing a 2005 Coachmen Clipper Spirit 1006 ST pop-up. I purchased it knowing that the lift system was not operational however, I thought it would be a simple fix. Unfortunately, I now see that it is more complicated. The original and now removed lift system was an IDT. I thought I could simply replace it by installing a Goshen system in but I cannot find any information on how I can do that. Also, the crank is in the back/rear and not on the trailer mount which is another problem I think. Do you have any advice? Are you aware of any retrofits? Any knowledge, insight or suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you for your time.

    I'm renovating my pop up and I'd like to replace my shore power opening with a power plug (so that I don't have one of my bench storage dominated by the coiled...unused...portion of the power cord). My problem is that my shore power opening is large enough to allow for the 30 amp plug to reside inside of it (which is pretty typical for pop ups). However, if I remove the existing line/plug enclosure, the cutout is about 3.5", but all of the replacement plugs I can find only fit cut outs of 2.25"-2.75". Have you ever done that type of change/replacement? Any idea where I can find a 30 amp plug that fits a pop up shore power opening?

    Do you have tips in adding a bike rack to a popup?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really, as we don’t take our bikes camping. With the that being said, I’m a big fan of not putting extra holes in the roof if you can avoid it. So, if you can take the extra tongue weight, perhaps look into a double hitch receiver and adding a hitch bike rack. I’ve also seen bike racks that mount to the tongue area of the pop up and allow the rear wheel of the bike to rest on the pop up. That may be a good option as well.

      @patriotlawnandlandscaping914 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ItsPoppin do you know where it would be? I’ve looked all over for one. The electric switch doesn’t have a hole where it could crank. Would it possibly be inside the case not accessible without removing it?

    • @ItsPoppin

  • @mrs.ktpage10

    Hey. We have an 05 jayco 12hw. Do they have a place for batteries? If so where do they go and what do they run? What batteries do you need so that they last? We have an amperage meter display but no batteries.

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Should be placed on the front tongue if you’re going with a non-sealed lead acid battery. Regardless of the battery chemistry type, it should be a “deep cycle” battery. In theory if you have a sealed battery such as a lithium, it could go inside the pop up such as a storage compartment or cabinet.

    I have a question and I can't find anything on TH-cam to help. I just recently bought a 2002 colman fleetwood Utah cp. I live in Washington state where it rains constantly. My question is. If you have to close up the trailer in the rain how do you dry it out when you get home? I do have a garage I put the trailer into and I can raise the roof but not fully.

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sounds good to me. You don't need to raise your roof fully to remove the canvas and let it drape out the sides without the beds extended. Bring a towel with you camping as well to wipe away the majority of the water just prior to packing up.
