It certainly is but I stupidly have never subscribed and I love that magazine I truly love that magazine. I have a few of them like the c64 edition and the Atari edition

Used to all the time haha. Stopped getting it regularly a few years ago now but still pick it up on occasion 😊
That is much more of an option in the UK, but living in a different country means either subscribing or not getting it in a current manner; I imagine one can find bundles of older magazines on ebay and such.
@StefaNonsense oh yeah certainly. I sometimes forget that the uk (along with japan) is a sort of haven nowadays for print game mags.

I used to subscribe, mostly for the homebrew section (disclaimer, I was featured...twice). Sadly, one of their writers passed away during the pandemic and this section seem to be gone.
Thankfully, the Spanish edition seem to have picked where the British edition left

@@StefaNonsense it's a mix of translated articles and new ones, written to cover the (often forgotten) Spanish games industry, as well as its homebrew scene and fairs

Sad that Nivelul2 wasn't able to keep the wheels running on their magazine... yet it is understandable as this, being in english, has a much wider appeal in other countries too.

This is definitely one of those situations where capitalist market forces speak much stronger than enthusiasm. Not only is it in English, which opens it up to potentially several hundreds of millions of humans but only if we were talking about the British market on its own, that by itself is old, large and has enough buying-power to support such a physical artifact :) There are other more specific magazines there as well, aimed at the Amiga, Spectrum and Commodore 64 communities - which again, not only have a very old history in the country but also the weight of numbers behind them. Our much smaller and considerably poorer market could only support high-end niche physical magazines for only so long once the Internet became ever-present.
The magazine is great, but the company that offer the subscription is trash. I ended up canceling my subscription after getting only 3 issues instead of 6...

Never received the magazine for 3 months, unsubscribed and received a partial refund because "they sent an issue". trash
Sorry to hear you guys had problems. Gotta keep in mind the magazines are shipped through the magazinesdirect site, I don't think the people behind the magazine have any say in that.
@@StefaNonsense I never said that, on the contrary I LOVE the magazine, but I HATE the distribution which is done only through magazinesdirect site. I am afraid that if this situation continues it will be the death of it - at least in the printed format.
Indeed you did make the differentiation just wanted it stated for sarin3 to see. I actually had the opposite thing happen to me, I received two of the same latest issue :)
Im in usa. Why does it say i have to wait 3 month's to get my first issue? And is it only uk you get the exclusive covers and does it have to be the yearly subscription?
What I can tell you is my experience, living in Denmark. It takes a couple of months for the subscription to actually start in Europe as well. All subscribers get the special covers, I have a rolling 3 month subscription. I do not know if there are further limitations on shipping to the US.
This is like 120 a year to get in thr usa for physical mag....
