Great video. Nice to see something once considered damaged brought back to as a functioning straight razor. Look forward to your next video whether it be cycling or razor related. All the best!
Hey, Evan! I actually have an ultrasonic cleaner around here, but never thought of using it with straight razors. I'll have to give it a try! I'll try and link the Maas polish on another reply as TH-cam often doesn't allow replies with links. If it doesn't work, try Googling Maas Polishing Cream and that should get you there. Thanks!

@@bikestrikesrazors Bed Bath and Beyond has a jewelry cleaner solution that might work on Razors. My wife uses it on her jewelry so it has to be good...HA. I put my instruments in a baggie filled with cleaner then immerse the bag in ultra sonic filled with warm water. All the waste from dental work comes off then we scrub and sterilize...Or we did, we just retired...HUZZAH!
@@evanking920 Congratulations on your recent retirement, Evan! Mark Feldman, a frequent poster here, is a retired oral surgeon, but he retired around fifteen years ago. We have enough dental talent around here to open our own clinic! Oh, but you'd probably rather stay retired. :)
That's Sweeny Todd level of detail! Great reconditioning of a classic. Fun to watch.
Thanks, Douglas. Sweeny will have to fight me for this one, but I'm sure I'd lose that battle. :)
Chipped my favorite go-to, Wade & Butcher.. thanks for the tips.
Oh no! I hate when that happens! Hope the video helps you get it back into shape!

Thanks, Dino! I love it when things work out. :)
Great results from a labor of love. Looks like a great instrument for many great shaves. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mark. It worked out better than I expected. :)
I keep and old cheap two sided knife stone to address things like this when I restore razors. Great job!!
Thanks for the tip, Charles! I was thinking about giving that a try- Now I will! Thanks for watching!
That is an excellent find. Fantastic scales. Will give some great shaves for many years to come !
Thanks Manish! Those transparent red scales are nice. :)
An ultrasonic cleaner would work for the initial cleaning. We use that before sterilization of our dental instruments. Also, do you have a Maas link?

Hey Oleg! Yep, I could've taken that point down a little more (and I may yet!).
There you go. $25 became $300+
