I was wondering about that I know the first M16 was crap when it got dirty or wet but that I thaught they improved it some how. I read about the M16 bravo and alpha in the U.S.Navy when I was an ordnanceman but never fired one, I have shot an AK and the SKS those are nice Gina.

Iron sights are way to go. And I belong to Finnish special forces. Also NATO 5,56mm caliber are for those who don't have strength to carry 7,62mm caliber guns.

If you want to know how M4s/AR rifles hold up against AKs in weather conditions, go watch the stress tests by InRange TV. They do dust tests, mud tests, etc., and are very informative on why guns pass or fail them.
For anyone wondering about the results, you’ll probably be surprised. The AK performed horrible, but it still worked sorta, but he had to manually eject & feed every shot. The AR-15 worked flawlessly (to many people’s amazement).
@@dimitrije5626 The only way to perform differently is to change the design by a large degree. The AK's receiver is open on too many points; dry dirt and dust is moved or blown out but mud or wet sand sticks in the mechanism and packs into places that drag and keep the bolt from cycling. The AR platform, provided you've done your part by closing the dust cover and keeping a mag in it, is pretty much only open at the muzzle. You can get some serious failures if you get debris into the locking lugs, but you actually have to get debris into the receiver first, and it's well isolated. The guys falling into the canal with theirs, just need to do a quick bore check (pop it open, yank the bolt, look through) in case they stuck the muzzle in the mire, and they're ready to go.

But he had incredible respect for the american special forces, which are probably the best on this globe, surpassing every other special forces he had trained with.
In one scenario, in a friendly training competition, americans and germans in one team and the french in the other, 150 regular german soldiers and additional 50 american special forces completely annihilated the french team which counted around 400 soldiers.
And the americans did most of the job without suffering any casualties during the whole training.
It's almost superhuman.

Don’t fire an M16/M4 underwater, it’ll go kaboom. If you get an M4 submerged in water:
Pull it out of the water, drain the liquids from the barrel, and pull the bolt back slightly to break the pressure seal. It should be good to go after that.
I was wondering about that I know the first M16 was crap when it got dirty or wet but that I thaught they improved it some how. I read about the M16 bravo and alpha in the U.S.Navy when I was an ordnanceman but never fired one, I have shot an AK and the SKS those are nice Gina.

The M4 is quite the reliable weapons system. I'd be more worried about the optics than the rifle when it comes to the elements.
I couldn't justify spending EOTech money on a sight for my AR. I went with a Halosun and could be happier. They are rugged as hell and shrug off the elements with no issues. Mine's been dropped, rained on, snowed on, still working like new.
Iron sights are way to go. And I belong to Finnish special forces. Also NATO 5,56mm caliber are for those who don't have strength to carry 7,62mm caliber guns.
I have an eotec and iron sights batteries only last for so long
Victor Lockheed Smaller, faster bullet means more ammo, flatter trajectory, and higher velocity at the cost of less power at closer range. Strength has little to do with it.

Pan-slavic communist 0 the one he used was from the Romanian military, I believe, so should’ve been better than Wally World quality
