Nature, hikes, huge parks, doggies roaming around, coffee shops and tall skyscrapers 🏙 - I love everything about it 🥺❤️

Currently 2k+ for a basement suite let alone an apartment. Meanwhile Montreal you can find a nice apartment in a beautiful neighborhood for a little over 1k. Something is so wrong in Vancouver
There is New Westminster Station as well as Columbia Station in downtown New West. Also, it takes 28 minutes from New Westminster Station to Granville Station on the Expo Line, doesn’t take 40 minutes.
There is a lot to see uptown New West if you like nature actually, the parks are beautiful, the houses are very beautiful, there are a lot of stores, Walmart, Dollorama, etc. When I need to go downtown New West I walk my way down and take a bus on the way up, I understand of course it can be tiring (I only do that when I need to go down, because I work from home, but not everybody can do that, so I’m talking just about my experience), I actually prefer living uptown because it’s very green and calm and has a lot of dog parks, but the quayside (riverfront) became my desire because it’s very very beautiful.
Completely agree that New West is a beautiful city with many amenities in a small area. I was regularly there for the summer to enjoy walks along the river and also lots of coffee shops.
