This video goes out-of-focus somewhere in the middle and at the time of filming, I didn’t know why. It’s never happened before! Upon further investigation, I discovered that Zeke left a bit of spit on the lens when he rubbed his face on the camera earlier in the video 🤦🏼♀️ I BLAME ZEKE. This is the price we pay for cat cameos, I guess 😂 I’ll make sure to wipe my lens off next time and it won’t happen again! Thanks for bearing with me!
OMG, I was cringing at the tampon soaked in essential oils. That's a one-stop-shop for UTIs and yeast infections. Not to mention the BURNS! Nope, nope, nope. I am so glad she never used it. There's a reason those things have 'for external use only' on the label.
yea that is DEFINITELY not gonna help PCOS. it probably wouldn't worsen it since it's mostly caused by hormones from my understanding, but it will cause so many more complications
Regarding the 2nd story with Pure Romance and the Bridezilla, my heart went out to these young ladies in the bridal party who felt pressured by a tacky bride. My own daughter had a similar experience with the same kind of tantrum and “if you don’t, you’re OUT of the wedding.” Well, she texted her momma. 😅 I told her that unless this was a “friendship” she thought was valuable to stand up and walk out, and I would repay her for everything she spent on her bridesmaid dress and shoes, and she could do whatever she wanted with it. This brat of a bride had been such of a monster for so long that my baby decided this was her ENOUGH moment. She got up and left, and two other bridesmaids joined her. Best $500 I ever spent, transferring that money to my daughter’s Venmo and knowing that Bridezilla was going to have to scramble for more victi- I mean, bridesmaids. 🥳💪🏼 #mommabear
I would have wrapped up the glow in the dark condom as the only wedding gift I would give at the wedding. Not in an envelope either. I would wrap it up in a too large box with really pretty wrapping though. Ya know, to make it just as misleading as the party invite. That's how I would feel about that whole situation.
Hannah: *thanking us for our “patience” with the cat visits* me not a minute before: *absolutely delighted at Zeke sniffing us out* Hey!! Buddy!! hi hello we’re the little people inside Hannah’s camera 🥹
Story 3: I really hope nothing like that ever happens to anyone, but if someone shows up at a wake or memorial service who is unwelcome (especially when that someone is so obviously soliciting) you as a family member do not need to engage. Find a staff member for the funeral home/church and tell them to remove the person. The confrontation doesn’t have to fall on you and the unwelcome person doesn’t need to know you asked for them to be removed. That was absolutely unhinged behavior and funeral home staff will protect their grieving families when needed.
thus reminds me when my aunt died her college ( as she claimed) showed up and inserted herself even into out private dinner we had at home after the funeral. She wasn't "hun" but probably was part of some cult or some weird religion that morfed Christianity with Buddhism, talking about reincarnation of Jesus or some angels. She took the spot lite for the whole time.. talking about all sorts of things. She even went with us when we went place the urn to family grave. Only good thing that she did is that we weren't annoyed by our other aunt that usually tries to dictate to others how they should live their lives.
I am a funeral director, and this is unfortunately common. Families warn us that a certain someone might arrive who is not welcome, and we usually ask for a family member to come get should the person arrive to talk to them and ask them to leave without making it a scene.
Id have never talked to them again Edit: I would have probably also gotten a glass of water to dump on her head after that threat. Like. Yea heck you and have some of my pettiness. Enjoy your failure of a wedding.
Tip: If you're never going to want to see that person again anyway, just walk out. It is so empowering to take control of your life and stand up for yourself. No one is legally allowed to keep you there. Need an excuse? Say you left some cash in your car and just drive away and block their number.
Saying that "MK (or younique or whatever makeup mlm) doesn't provide products suitable for black people :) " has been my escape for years now lmao! Makes the rep super uncomfortable and they do not ask me again.
I tell them it’s against my religion. This confuses them enough, because churches and mlms seem to go together, and gives me a chance to escape. Kinda like a smoke bomb! 🤣
Yup, it's a great excuse cuz it's true! MK has never carried my golden/olive undertone and that party was an awful struggle to find a shade that remotely fit me. I thought it was hilarious white ppl nonsense but I was a young teen who had been dragged along to a random party, that experience gave me an awesome excuse to stay away from MK in the future though!
Omg the pcos story is soooo scary. I have been struggling with pcos for years. It is so hard to get consistent and compassionate healthcare as a young woman. I finally got back on meds after months of fighting with doctors, insurance companies and love ones. I am so glad that girl got real medical help and not just oil soaked tampons
That story absolutely flored me for that reason. The fact that a hun recommended someone to do this (and a teen no less)… I truly lost it. Like does this mean they’ve tried it or did they just hear this idea from their up line? Truly terrifying
I have PCOS too. So please know it’s difficult on a day to day basis. My fertility was adversely impacted by the condition, sometimes they can’t help. Take care of yourself.
I was diagnosed with PCOS 25 years ago. I cannot urge you strongly enough to see an endocrinologist, not a GYN for treatment. PCOS is rooted in hyperinsulinism. BC pills control the symptoms but not the underlying cause, and are NOT adequate as a treatment. PCOS affects not just fertility, but has an impact on your lifelong health. It's important to treat the root cause.
Yes wtf, also 8 hours??? That couldn't have been healthy, I truly hope the aunt didn't cause others to develop toxic shock syndrome or other infections
@@melanie_meanders why? I mean her words were chosen poorly, but your product doesn´t have to be "inclusive" to everyone. Just like most stores don´t carry pants for girls over 6ft, this brand chose not to carry products for dark skin, probably because they don´t sell as well. So I don´t see how it´s "problematic".
is it me or are the stories this week particularly insane? from the bride, to the hun at a funeral, oils for ovaries, the marykay karen?? my jaw is on the FLOOR! even the camera noped out after hearing all of this! and yes, i commented twice, but it’d good for the algorithm right? 😅
I'm southern, and I love to talk to EVERYONE. The MLM schemes are making it hard for people to be friendly. Yikes, and I compliment people constantly!!
I'm from Washington DC and when strangers speak to me I get suspicious immediately. I'm not proud of this! I've gotten less friendly since I've moved here!
I'm southern too, and while I'm an introvert and don't generally start conversations, I'm willing to engage when it's about things I'm interested in. I am quick to get suspicious of people and too old to put up with MLM pitches. I am very polite and friendly normally, but MLM pitches send me straight into rude. I'm not even all that old, but I won't put up with bull 💩 these days.
Cats get weird sometime when you cut off a space that is typically accessible to them. My cat will literally do meowcore off my bedroom door if we ever close it. Same goes for the shower door lol
@@catlover2223 Kitties are smart, they realize very quickly that the two-leg going into the little porcelain throne room means that they will be there for a few minutes, and that makes it the perfect place to demand pets!
Before I clicked on the video, the time stamp was covering your thumbnail in such a way that made the “R” in “sour” look like a “P” (“bachelorette party gone soup” 😂), so I was especially intrigued to hear that story 😂
As an international viewer, I reeeally appreciated being told what an RA was, thank you! I've never heard of it even though I consume a lot of american media ever since I was a kid. Kind of weird I've not seen it in films or tv, considering the amount of films that are set in college.
Never apologize for your kitties! Most of us love their cameos and those who don't...well...their problem. Edit to add: the camera was so horrified by the tampon story that it couldn't even... And OMG that could easily be toxic! That woman who recommended that should be thrown in jail for medical fraud.
I've seen several comments on other channels from cat haters that felt the need to complain bitterly about cat cameos and threaten to unsub if the cats kept appearing. As if the content creators would cut out content that the vast majority enjoy watching to satisfy the small number of complainers. Bye, Felicia!
Well, now I feel like I need to retroactively apologize for all the people I've randomly started conversations with at stores. I swear I'm not in Amway, my therapist just said it was good practice for tackling my social anxiety..... 😂
I think it is okay to still talk to people in public! The context of the conversation matters! I love talking to people in various places, but the conversations keep within the context of, "look at this cool thing I found over there!!" Or, "I love that this is on sale!" The elderly shoppers tend to love my enthusiasm. 😂
Omg, story 2 happened to me (sort of). It was my bachelorette party that a friend of mine had planned for me. I thought we were just getting together for dinner, conversation, and games. When I walked into the house, there was a Pure Romance rep set up in the living room. The rep was a classmate of ours from high school. I had to sit through the presentation while sitting between my mother and my other friend's grandmother. My brother's fiancee was in attendance and would give details on how she would use the products. It was awkward. Completely awkward. At the end of the night, the rep took people into a different room to get their orders and made sure to state that *I* would be getting the hostess credits to pick things out "for the honeymoon". I let the 'friend' who set the party up keep the hostess "benefits". I don't talk to her much anymore. That party was definitely nothing like me or my interests.
Story One made me sad when she said that Amway Predators were the only ones striking up conversations with random people. This is something my partner and I often do when we're out at restaurants or pubs with the staff or other patrons and to think that there is probably a lot of folks out there who wonder when we're going to Show Them The Plan or whatever Amway calls it these days. I can't help but think that having all these MLMers out there treating everyone they encounter like a potential mark has had its own negative impact on our society.
i just wanted to say that my cat watches your videos INTENTLY everytime a kitty comes on screen lol love your content, hannah! very excited to watch your channel and family grow!
These stories have made me so paranoid 😂 I was at the park with my toddlers and struck up a convo with a fellow mom. We were talking about our kids hair and when I asked what products she uses on her daughters curls she asked “have you heard of Monat?” Wow did I freeze, deer in the headlights. I full on stuttered out an affirmative. Thank heavens she caught on a moved on to inviting me to her church instead.
Please don’t worry about being out of focus! It’s hardly noticeable on mobile, and it makes no difference to your stellar verbal commentary. (And kudos for listening to your body and taking the time to rest instead of refilming)
Hannah, can you please let Zeke start his own TH-cam channel? Clearly he has a lot to say I hope you are doing well! Thank you for sharing these stories
23:34 the out-of-focus issue was just your camera having an existential crisis after the oil tampon cringe - it was probably like “yeah, no, I’m done with this. hey plant, what are you up to today?”
I recently watched Hannah video where she says "I normally don't let the cats in while I'm filming" and I thought well that's just not true. 😂😂 Turns out it was from over a year ago.
@@HannahAlonzo I’m so glad they broke you down and are part of your videos! I just love them (and as a fellow cat-host it’s not like I don’t have a bunch around anyway). I adored your cameo compilation you recently posted.
Omg the oils on a tampon story instantly made me so uncomfortable. I put undiluted tea tree oil on a piercing bump once and it hurt so bad. That was my ear, I can't even imagine how much oils in your privates would hurt! 😢😳
I agree. I use tea tree oil on small cuts as an antiseptic but it is from the chemist and very diluted. I can’t imagine how painful the undiluted oil would be. Yikes.
As a fellow content creator, I totally understand the frustration of having a video go out of focus while filming...and what I do isn't easy to be "redone"--it's fiber art. Once it's done, it's not easy to UN-do and start again. I'm actually doing some embroidery right now, listening like a podcast and watching for your kitties out of the corner of my eye. Not sure if you've already had your baby, but I hope it goes well and that you get as much rest as you can in the first couple of weeks. It's rough, but you'll get through it.
Omg. For that second one, the bride will have to live with the memory of that Bachelorette party for the rest of her life. Live with knowing how horribly she treated her guests all because she was deceptive about the party in the first place. And not to mention, she'll have to live with knowing that the people in her wedding party & photographer she'll never see again as a result. So sad
I just thought of it when you mentioned her again: how do you think the wedding photos turned out, since the photographer was one of the people she blackmailed into staying?
Oh my goodness! I totally didn’t expect you to do two uploads this week (I mean, understandably, you are on maternity leave), but this is such a treat! ❤️
Thank you for another wonderful video! If the person who keeps seeing Amway/various MLM huns in the grocery store happens to see this -- most chain stores at least have no soliciting/recruiting policies. On your way out, you can quietly point them out to an employee and they'll probably be asked to leave. I feel like summoning the inner Karen is alright in this situation, since they're actively looking for people to scam.
I drive by compliment people. If I compliment you 9 times out of 10 I'll have walked past you, taken a step back, told you the compliment, then kept it moving.
I am suddenly very thankful that my aunt is only in pampered chef and not a health or oil mlm lol Like any MLM is bad but thank god she's not pushing dangerous products on us. Well i guess knives are dangerous. Whatever. I'm kind of surprised that she never tried recruiting us but maybe she's just the kind of person who sells the stuff
Right after my dad died a few years ago, an MLM hun came up to my mom's house, pitching some garbage. He wasn't EVEN IN THE GROUND. Long story short, she flossed up to my mother in the driveway at their house. I saw my mom talking to a woman I didn't recognize, with a weird look on her face. I was so shocked that I couldn't think of a thing to say.
I feel like I’d call the brides bluff and say “okay I guess I’m out of your wedding”. She being bridal party-less and having no professional photos, seems like a worse deal for the bride.
36:50 when I started college in 2011, I was invited to a Mary Kay party. They did try to sell makeup to me but when the the foundation was too light for me, they tried to convince me to still buy it and mix it with another shade to fit my skin tone.
Oh, oh! I have a Mary Kay-adjacent anecdote! Went to the pet store the other day, located along a strip mall. I spotted a pink Mary Kay. car and parked next to it, wondering what store the Mary Kay lady was in. Inside the shop, I suddenly got a hard hit of fragrance..something that practically screamed " Your Elderly Aunt Helen". Kind of old and rancid smelling and way too much of it. I had found her! I followed the smell til I located the woman in question. She was in her late fifties, and had perfectly coiffed , shortish, helmet hair, kind of like a flight attendant in the 70's. And some kind of "tasteful" outfit involving a cardigan that immediately put me to sleep. Even so, this was a thrilling sighting of this species in the field!
This really bugs me. I compliment people now instead of just thinking that I like their clothes, hair, earrings, ect. These people seem to just ruin everything.
I was school supply shopping with my 2 young children a couple of years ago. A woman came up to us and said something like "I love your whole vibe" and asked if she could give this little pack of Oreos to my kids. I don't think she was pitching an MLM, I think it was someone trying to get people to come to their church, but we already have a church we very much love. It was just so awkward. Please don't approach me in a store...with my kids...I have things to do! 😆
Also, I don’t know who needs to hear this, but PLEASE DO NOT keep tampons in (soaked in oils or not!) for 8 hours consistently!! Toxic Shock syndrome is real and can be fatal! Be safe, guys. ♥️
A smaller-sized tampon on a lighter day would be fine being in for 8 hours. Most people don’t wake up in the middle of the night to change one. I know you’re probably just concerned, but your advice isn’t quite right. 8 hours is about the max suggested, but that is also using the most caution.
I love listening while I do housework. The out of focus doesnt bother me because I cant really look at the screen anyway! Thanks for keeping me entertained while im being productive. ❤
Story 4 - WTFFFF… As someone who has also been diagnosed with PCOS and currently in the beginning stages of reciprocal IVF with my soon to be wife, MY. JAW. DROPPED when I heard the recommendation of using essential oils… I wish the writer of story 4 all the success navigating life with PCOS and congrats on their pregnancy! ♥️
the "pyramid scheme hons open with compliments" thing is really funny to me because i just compliment people in public because i like to and also because thats what is in my brain instead of small talk
DoTerra Tampon: I gasped and almost cried. I don’t have PCOS but a similar issue that causes severe pain, got on birth control at 17 and never a problem again. I am SO RELIEVED she did not use this oil, and instead did get her BC. But I am frustrated about the wasting of money and then the manipulation of the church members. This serves as a reminder of why we need to be honest in some cases, because the temporary discomfort of being honest about the oils is not worth the longer discomfort of financial hits and harming other women who did use this treatment. Of course, this is not to shame the person who wrote in. She was a teen who was manipulated, and she feels bad already. This is just a reminder for anyone else!
Hi Hannah! Thank you for sharing SO much knowledge on MLMs. It’s crazy that both me and my mom have been recruited🤣 we both belt so bad about the high prices and sketchy set up so we never went far. Your videos educate a lot ❣️
I did a double take because I read the thumbnail as "bachelorette party gone soup" because the time covered up the R I'm assuming... or maybe it did go soup idk I'm watching right now so I'll update when I find out LMAO
I worked for a company that went into administration and was eventually liquidated. In the interim, we were wrapping our operations up and selling off remaining stock. A man approached me saying that I had great customer service manner, and that he had a "business opportunity" for me (Red Flag #1), since I was about to be out of work. I accepted his invitation to an informal meeting over coffee (Red Flag #2), and as soon as I sat down he similarly whipped out a catalogue of products and began his pitch about how I can "work for myself" and that I'd be "buying these household products monthly anyway" -- my chest got tight and I stopped listening. I felt ridiculous for not seeing the initial red flags and realizing he was probably an MLM hun. The best part is, he left in a hurry and I had to pay for BOTH our coffees. 'Predatory' is an apt term for these people. I wish I could have sympathy for these people, but I really do not. Preying on vulnerable people, wasting their time and then sticking them with the bill is a really shitty thing to do.
I was at target one time buying groceries, minding my business after working a night shift (I work in EMS) and this lady came up to me and was complimenting my crocs. Then she struck up a conversation and I was honestly just trying to politely see my way out lol. She ended up mentioning how her and her husband were "entrepreneurs" and said she had a "business opportunity" for me which I politely declined. Once I heard those words I was like "OMG ITS HAPPENING TO ME" lol
as a new englander, we look at everyone who strikes up a conversation with a “what do you want?” kinda attitude. we have a reputation for being rude, but you better believe it’ll keep me from getting approached at a grocery store by a hun.
I want to say thank you for mentioning Doterra is an mlm. I now understand why the essential oil lady at the chiropractors office keeps saying if I want to buy anything she will walk me through the process so she gets credit for it. Never bought anything because the oils were extremely over price. Now I know why she kept pushing for me buy them. Thank you so much for all you do. 🙂
I genuinely wonder how many people in MLMs have tried pitching their MLM to someone who happens to already be in another MLM 😂 the awkwardness and weirdness of that situation makes me really curious and wish we had stories of past MLM people who pitched to people and the responses they’d get
I’m so thankful for my wise (slightly paranoid) parents for teaching me that nothing comes free. If a stranger is being friendly to you for seemingly no reason, dig deeper. There’s probably a motive there.
Never be sorry about your cat cameos! I smile and laugh every time I hear their little cries in the background. I even started watching your videos in the morning while I get ready for work instead of listening to them while at work so I can view the cat cameos better 😊. I absolutely love cats in TH-cam videos! (I have two of my own).
You CAN do these mlm things in a positive way for parties. When my cousin got married my aunt threw his fiancé a pampered chef shower. The invitations were clear what it was and specified to not bring presents as we could pick out things for the bride at the party to order. My sister and I pooled some money to get our cousin’s fiancé something nice. The party was fun. The food was great. And I would’ve bought a present for the shower either way. But this was actually kinda brilliant as all the points from the party turn into rewards for the bride too and ppl there could also order for themselves if they saw something they liked. There was no pressure and it was truly a good time. But it was all up front and made clear. And like I said, you buy presents for showers generally-so it didn’t bother me to do it this way. If that crazy bridezilla just been honest and called it a spicy bridal shower/bachelorette party-they would’ve known what to expect and it could’ve been a fun time. But you should NEVER expect someone to order from an mlm party if they don’t want to. That’s ridiculous.
Story 2 is so weird in the sense that the bride was self aware enough to know that if she told everyone about the hun coming to sell them stuff, she knew no one would come…but then still thought maybe they would buy something from the hun??? Like she thought withholding that information was somehow a better idea?🤦🏻♀️
Those were some heavy stories. Just wanted to leave a comment bc I love listening to these while I get ready in the morning🖤 I do a lot of rewinding bc my toddlers are always needing me but.. your videos still put me in a better mood to start the day 😄
Great video Hannah-I am confident that my New York self would not fall victim to anyone in a store-this is because any stranger coming up to me in a store will get “what do you want!” My east coast self is just naturally skeptical and I take it as an asset for MLM hons! 😅❤
At this point in my life I've been approached by about every MLM in existence. I've been treated beyond rudely twice in that entire time and both were Mary Kay reps......
Re: watching your videos like a podcast. Currently listening to this as I lay in bed trying to fall back asleep. Insomnia has been persistent lately and your videos are interesting enough to keep my mind from spiraling but you also just have such a warm and calming presence that I do often manage to drift off after a while. Just means I watch every video 3 times to get all of the stories 😂❤
You know, this explains why so few people will talk to me at a store; they’re probably afraid I’m gonna try to get them to join some crappy pyramid scheme. ☹️
The first story reminds me of the time a girl from high school added me as friends on Facebook. I knew her but had never been friends with her. We barely ever spoke. So right away, I accepted the invite and went to her profile. Sure enough, she was in an MLM. I immediately unfriended her and added a note about not being interested in MLMs to my Facebook bio.
Why do the AmWay people seem to NEVER purchase anything at any dinner/lunch/coffee meetings? It doesnt make the business seem very profitable, if they cannot even afford a cup of coffee!
Ooof, the Mary Kay story and lack of inclusivity around skin tones just gave me a memory of when a classmate in high school hosted a Mary Kay party back in around 1998 (she was 16 or 17 - I don't know if this was through her mother or anything and I don't know what the rules were for hosting a party in Australia at the time). My sister and I were there to support our friend so we ended up at a very well attended makeup party. For context, my sis and I are ethnically Filipino and I'm several shades darker than my sister. Mary Kay rep was very frustrated that she couldn't find a good shade in her palette for me, apparently too dark for the light shades and 'too yellow' for the few darker shades available, which was a thing that she actually said, and I think (I hope?) all of us were too shocked to know what to say in response. I can't remember saying anything in response anyway, and I can't remember if anyone else said anything. I do know I didn't buy anything but my sister bought a few things because her 18th was coming up and I guess her skin tone worked with their palettes. The rep's comment is not something I've really thought about since until now, but 25 years on, looking at the palette that you've brought up on the screen, it doesn't really feel like much has changed in the inclusiveness in the shades. I've never really been into makeup since so I've never looked into getting shades that match my skin tone, so I have no recommendations for inclusive brands unfortunately.
Hannah, I love your videos and your professional presentation. I save your videos and then binge while I'm sewing. Your voice, warmth and sharp mind have helped me make dozens of sewing projects. Thank you for being you and thank you for always being respectful, supportive, and clear about the dangers of mlms. All the hearts.
One of my bridesmaids had a pure romance party for me and I had NO idea that’s what it was because it was disguised as she was having a lingerie party for me. So all the guests had bought lingerie for me AND got stuck at the Pure Romance party, too. I felt so terrible!!!
I've been reading the book "The Gift of Fear" and it talks about how someone approaching you in public is always more likely to be a threat than those who don't. (Not always a threat, just more LIKELY to be so) It's mainly talking about women's safety around men, but I think it makes sense for many situations, since someone approaching you will typically want something from you, whether their intentions are malicious or not.
I just want to say that I've been dealing with a week long off and on migrate, and your lovely videos (brightness almost off and .75 speed) are gentle and entertaining enough to keep me company when I can't really handle a show or other more verbose creators. Thanks foe helping me feel a little better this week
I live in a big city and whenever someone has randomly approached me on the street and been overly nice, for a stranger, has been to pitch me Amway or ask me to join their church.
It’s so frustrating that as a woman going to the grocery store, we have to be so cautious and aware of our surroundings. I’ve heard so many stories recently about near misses with potential traffickers that sound eerily similar to these hun interactions. If they have to resort to approaching people in a vulnerable situation, This is enough evidence alone that it’s predatory behavior. Yuck
I sold MaryKay in 2000. They had all of the shades. I had a kit to take to my parties and did not have parties that ever used my darker shades, but I definitely had them for guests with all skin tones.
I can 100% relate on feeling like crap when you figure out you were just being “prospected”. I got recruited into Primerica, I became attached to the hip with my recruiter, in that timeline my husband deployed and me and this girl became even closer… we started using my apartment as our “office” and we started kinda planning her wedding. Fast forward to us getting stationed across the country and my husband and I had to attend their wedding on zoom bc their actual wedding was only family and close friends🥴before we moved and quit the MLM we were all planning on my husband and I flying in to attend their wedding and outta nowhere we were sent the zoom link instead.
Randomly, I went to a private Christian college in Missouri. They also banned mlm parties. Knowing how prevalent they are in the Christian community, sadly, it totally makes sense looking back. I attended in 2000-2005

I would have wrapped up the glow in the dark condom as the only wedding gift I would give at the wedding. Not in an envelope either. I would wrap it up in a too large box with really pretty wrapping though. Ya know, to make it just as misleading as the party invite. That's how I would feel about that whole situation.
Brilliant!! Yes
Hannah: *thanking us for our “patience” with the cat visits*
me not a minute before: *absolutely delighted at Zeke sniffing us out* Hey!! Buddy!! hi hello we’re the little people inside Hannah’s camera 🥹
This was the worst horror story I’ve heard so far I think
Imagine thinking you're going out for a night on the town, and instead... it's an MLM "party". 🥴
Honestly sounds like it could have been fun if the bride didnt go nuts about everyone buying that moment.
I hope she took the $22 condom and wrapped it up as the wedding gift 🤣 in a huge box, with gradually smaller boxes like nesting dolls
Id have never talked to them again
Edit: I would have probably also gotten a glass of water to dump on her head after that threat.
Right like I be using tf outta that race card to avoid makeup mlms
Exactly! If they do actually provide a larger shade range (they won't lol) we'd be out of a solid excuse! 😂
no you didnt love
I you want children PCoS isn't abar,my daughter's friend has PCOS and is due in may
That story absolutely flored me for that reason.

Oh my goodness, even thinking about an essential oil soaked tampon sends shivers down my spine 😖
Essential oil soaked tampons is the scariest 4 word horror story ever heard.
No need for that. It might be used as a room fragrance product.
My bits clenched closed so hard I could hold a pencil with them
Yes wtf, also 8 hours??? That couldn't have been healthy, I truly hope the aunt didn't cause others to develop toxic shock syndrome or other infections
Ppl really need to stop being so overly adventurous with what they stick up there 😂
Girlllll the shade range thing just clocked my blood pressure at a dangerous level. The MK hun really chose violence that day smh
I’m just blown away by the fact Hannah never calls the hun a racist, which is what she is. This is more than problematic
They were completely unhinged, no hinge to be found in a 50 mile radius actually 😅🙃
I agree. This MLM Horror Stories episode was nuts! 😂
Let's thank Zeke for being such a nice kitty and allowing Hannah to work on his office.
I love him, he is a good kitty.
I'm southern, and I love to talk to EVERYONE. The MLM schemes are making it hard for people to be friendly. Yikes, and I compliment people constantly!!
I do too.
Same! Or they’re from California, and forget that we don’t “want anything” we are just nice
I'm from Washington DC and when strangers speak to me I get suspicious immediately. I'm not proud of this! I've gotten less friendly since I've moved here!
Same. I randomly compliment people all the time. Just waiting for someone to think I'm about to pitch to them 😅
I'm southern too, and while I'm an introvert and don't generally start conversations, I'm willing to engage when it's about things I'm interested in.
My cats are the same! Heaven forbid you want to pee alone!
@@catlover2223 Kitties are smart, they realize very quickly that the two-leg going into the little porcelain throne room means that they will be there for a few minutes, and that makes it the perfect place to demand pets!
MEOWCORE 🤣
Hell yeah, Meowcore.
Same here!
Before I clicked on the video, the time stamp was covering your thumbnail in such a way that made the “R” in “sour” look like a “P” (“bachelorette party gone soup” 😂), so I was especially intrigued to hear that story 😂
If it had turned to soup it would have been hot and sour soup 😂
Oh my gosh hahahaa
A story we're all here for 😅😅
This happened to me too! How weird! A year later! Lol.
Hahah me too!!!
As an international viewer, I reeeally appreciated being told what an RA was, thank you! I've never heard of it even though I consume a lot of american media ever since I was a kid. Kind of weird I've not seen it in films or tv, considering the amount of films that are set in college.
how is it possible that companies like Doterra and Young Living haven't been sued out of existence
Same yo. You try to be a friendly person and these mlm jerks just ruin it
Ahh don't worry, you're not the problem, bestie ❤
Omg! The same here! Massive social anxiety and she said it is the easiest way to overcome the fear 😂❤
I love a random convo with a stranger in public. Makes my whole day, usually :)
My daughter has a business podcast and her cats try to join the presentations.
These stories have made me so paranoid 😂
I was at the park with my toddlers and struck up a convo with a fellow mom.
Clearly he has a lot to say
I hope you are doing well! Thank you for sharing these stories
The camera is for cats. Same with the microphone. I love their cameos, it helps lighten the mood
I lost my last cat several years ago and decided I was too old to manage the care of another. So I live to see zeke on camera.
23:34 the out-of-focus issue was just your camera having an existential crisis after the oil tampon cringe - it was probably like “yeah, no, I’m done with this. hey plant, what are you up to today?”
The camera really said "that's enough Internet for today" after the tampon story 😂😂
I recently watched Hannah video where she says "I normally don't let the cats in while I'm filming" and I thought well that's just not true.
😂😂
Turns out it was from over a year ago.
They broke me down 🤣 I’ve learned to stop fighting them hahaha
@@HannahAlonzo I always thoroughly enjoy seeing either & or both of your co-hosts 😊
@@HannahAlonzo I’m so glad they broke you down and are part of your videos! I just love them (and as a fellow cat-host it’s not like I don’t have a bunch around anyway). I adored your cameo compilation you recently posted.
You know what they say about cats, right? A dog has an owner but a cat has a staff. Great cat…and videos. Thank you❤
Omg the oils on a tampon story instantly made me so uncomfortable.
Yikes.
genuinely started SCREAMINGN hearing about the oil soaked tampon that is horror to an extreme
Got our new kitten Banshee watching your video with rapt attention. Gotta start the anti mlm education young.
I am suddenly very thankful that my aunt is only in pampered chef and not a health or oil mlm lol
Like any MLM is bad but thank god she's not pushing dangerous products on us.
I was so shocked that I couldn't think of a thing to say.
awkward door to door salesman is not a safe activity, honestly
I love when Zeke rubs his face on the camera and hopes he does it every video
I feel like you can still compliment people in passing, but if you use it as an in to start conversation with a stranger it’s a red flag lol
@@tleigh4583 Oh, I will it just makes me sad if anyone were to think I had ulterior motives when I just want to be kind.
@6:10 THE SNOOT (I'm assuming that was Zeke but not 100% sure)
Don't apologize for Zeek. I love him so much. And I love hearing his little purrs. He's awesome. Animals are everything.
Perfect. I've had a long hard day and am shattered and I have a new horror stories video to fall asleep to. Thanks Hannah!
I usually just listen to you while I work, but today I was watching and I'm so glad I did. I got to see your cat being absolutely adorable.
It's so nice of Zeke to let you use his camera and microphone. Can we get some cat videos? 😻
I love listening while I do housework. The out of focus doesnt bother me because I cant really look at the screen anyway! Thanks for keeping me entertained while im being productive. ❤
For the third story, I would have lost it and been in jail. Kudos to her for keeping her cool. These hunbots have no respect for human life at all.
Totally helps the harder emotional stuff to have a cute kitty around. He’s the emotional support kitty mascot of the channel
Yes. Exactly this. We need emotional support kitty.
I did a double take because I read the thumbnail as "bachelorette party gone soup" because the time covered up the R I'm assuming... or maybe it did go soup idk I'm watching right now so I'll update when I find out LMAO
That sounds like a good party. It'd love a soup bachelorette party
No soup but there was a glow in the dark condom :-)
A 22 dollar condom. 😭
Wait, it didn't say 'soup'?
Preying on vulnerable people, wasting their time and then sticking them with the bill is a really shitty thing to do.
the camera really said “after tampon oils i can’t look”
😱😱😱 the absolute horror at the tampon instructions
I want to say thank you for mentioning Doterra is an mlm. I now understand why the essential oil lady at the chiropractors office keeps saying if I want to buy anything she will walk me through the process so she gets credit for it. Never bought anything because the oils were extremely over price. Now I know why she kept pushing for me buy them. Thank you so much for all you do. 🙂
7:09 remember that one time Hannah tried to battle Zeke and he did a parkour move as an intimidation tactic ?😂
I genuinely wonder how many people in MLMs have tried pitching their MLM to someone who happens to already be in another MLM 😂 the awkwardness and weirdness of that situation makes me really curious and wish we had stories of past MLM people who pitched to people and the responses they’d get
25:56 Reminds me of women being told to use Lysol as a douche back in the day. I hope none of the women at the church used oils like that
That's what predators do. They catch you at the lowest time of your life. My husband had just passed away I was afraid for the future and lonely.😔
Just wanted to leave a comment bc I love listening to these while I get ready in the morning🖤
I do a lot of rewinding bc my toddlers are always needing me but.. your videos still put me in a better mood to start the day 😄
Great video Hannah-I am confident that my New York self would not fall victim to anyone in a store-this is because any stranger coming up to me in a store will get “what do you want!” My east coast self is just naturally skeptical and I take it as an asset for MLM hons! 😅❤
At this point in my life I've been approached by about every MLM in existence. I've been treated beyond rudely twice in that entire time and both were Mary Kay reps......
Hanna promoting skepticism is a fantastic thing to do regardless of what we’re skeptics of. If something is true it will be demonstrable.
Vast majority of them are losing money. Lots of it.
I love Zeke, he is the best part of hearing these stories, and I really enjoy how positive and understanding that you are of them.
Thank you for taking your international viewers into account Hannah
One of my bridesmaids had a pure romance party for me and I had NO idea that’s what it was because it was disguised as she was having a lingerie party for me. So all the guests had bought lingerie for me AND got stuck at the Pure Romance party, too. I felt so terrible!!!
I've been reading the book "The Gift of Fear" and it talks about how someone approaching you in public is always more likely to be a threat than those who don't. (Not always a threat, just more LIKELY to be so)
It's mainly talking about women's safety around men, but I think it makes sense for many situations, since someone approaching you will typically want something from you, whether their intentions are malicious or not.
Zeke be like: The camera is on, time for my staring role 😂
Randomly, I went to a private Christian college in Missouri. They also banned mlm parties. Knowing how prevalent they are in the Christian community, sadly, it totally makes sense looking back. I attended in 2000-2005
Dude! No wonder people always give me weird looks when I give them compliments in the store lol
I had someone from high school reach out wanting to catch up. And then he was trying to sell life insurance .
