I picked it up and I felt that its hungry. Today is Sunday so I can't hand it over to the forest officer as they are not in duty. So I have to make sure that nothing bad happens to the owl. I need to feed this lovely bird but I do not know anything about it. Please help me.

The way I was taught keep safety clip on till creance is tied 12 thighs 12 flights the barn owl I fly we must de-yolk chicks as he is such a messy eater when it gets on his face and dries he starts going mouldy

Are you saying that an owl that hasn't been imprinted by you can be trained ? I just been giving an owl and she is 4 months old and very aggressive what tips do you have for me to make a special bond with it
You buy them dead (frozen) and keep them in the freezer for a maximum of 3 months. Thaw them before giving them to your owl. Never put them in the microwave or heat them up. If you want to speed up the process: put them in an airtight plastic bag or container and put that in warm water so the chick thaws faster.
So don't get one :) But captive owls need to eat - it would be disgusting and cruel to starve them so the chicks could live. And they wouldn't anyway - they're not custom bred and culled; they're a biproduct.
