Steh Auf is about a child who wants to go out and have fun with his/her mother while the mother lies dead from a drug overdose. It was inspired by the death of Peaches Geldof ( daughter of musician, Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, television presenter) which was itself a copy of the death of her mother around eight years before as I recall. Both mothers died with their young children playing nearby for several hours. The horse riders you see in the videos symbolise the emergency services breaking in in an attempt to revive which unfortunately failed. Great song though and delivered as only Till could.
