As a mono purple Kaido player too, I like how we have a similar thought process in deck building. The 7 drop King is correct as a 3x of if you have a lot of Zoro rush players at a locals (like I do). Also the 3x Jack and Who's Who I was really testing back and forth and I now know that's correct. At times I do want to drop the Sasaki but the 2k counter is just necessary. My build rn is testing Brachio Bomber and Lead Performer Disaster. Because the Zoro match up is brutal I wanna hit them with Bomber as a quick spot removal, and LPD to test if it's helpful for speeding up Don. Also you don't use the 4 drop Black Maria? Sorry for typing a lot but I really wanna prep this deck for a major event to see what works. Thanks for the video!
I think the meta is just too fast in general to have a chance to play LPD. Paying 4 to draw 1 and ramp 1 is too hefty of a cost imo. The argument for hitting it off life is not a good one either because as a purple player you really don’t want to be taking life and are looking to defend as much until you can blow up and pick a part the board, and just stick 1-2 big creatures and win the game. I’d say Black Maria over LPD or if you are already playing that I would probably suggest playing Hitokiri Kamazo as it’s literally the only answer to greens Basil Hawkins. If they stick that card early , they just pick apart all of your blockers and you have no answer for it until you can drop 9 drop or 10 drop kaido , and the game is probably over for you at that point.

Well as blue / purple is cool and all I think the way it wants to play requires a totally different build, maybe we can get one built and to perform well enough to get its own video!
Is it legal to try and search your deck for a card you know you don't play in your deck list? (At least I did not see one of the fruits in the profile)
Yes you can. Technically your opponent doesn’t have access to your deck list when you sit across from them and for all they know it could have ended up in your life.
@@thomashenry3103 I have a feeling this would probably be ruled as an illegal play in an official setting because that's a lot of information gained from looking for a card that's not in your list and that judges know you don't have.

As someone who knwos very little but is hoping to pick up a purple kaido deck, thx for this!
Hey that's my teammate!

@@MoonRoseTCG hope it gets its own video; I’ve been looking for a good deck list but it’s hard

We have about 5 different locals to go to a week in our area and they average about 16 really good players
