The Spirit Of The Well...? | Let's School - Part 7 (School Simulator)

  • Let's School continues and there's a bit of a surprise as we're visited by a fairy, namely the Spirit of the Well, who pops up out of the well (obviously) and asks us if we've lost anything down the well recently... it's all very odd!
Winter arrives at Cupboard College which means snow which in turns means... snowmen! Marvellous! Also we discover the umbrella racks which we'd previously not seen. The only issue is that winter also brings low temperatures and our heating options are a bit limited.
With the money we got from our graduating students (who we get a picture with, yay!) we treat ourselves to a new school shop and also some upgrades to a few things including the toilets!
Also we welcome quite a lot of new students into grade one, we put on a show at the town square and we fly through the research.

In Let’s School, you take on the role of a principal tasked with the challenge of revamping and managing your alma mater! The game features two core mechanics: the construction and designing of the school and managing the dynamics of students and teachers.
Each student has unique interests and aspirations, making your role as headmaster more complex. Balancing factors like your school's reputation, satisfying students' basic needs, overseeing academic pressure, and managing aspects like clothing, food, and travel provide an immersive and challenging experience. Aside from the usual responsibilities of a headmaster, you are also tasked with managing various issues that originate outside the school, including mysterious dangers and potential threats that might cause things to go bananas!
The architectural design of the school is a blank canvas for the player. With the freedom to plan and construct various functional facilities and access to hundreds of educational equipment, you define your institution's aesthetic and practical landscape. Don't limit yourself to horizontal expansion - think vertically by constructing multi-story buildings for more innovative developments or even eccentric structures!
The fate of teachers and students lies in your hands. The recruitment process, teaching methodologies, and personal growth of teachers and students rest on your decisions. Enhancing the skills of your teachers opens up opportunities for them in different roles. You can influence student morale and academic performance by offering elective courses, thereby shaping their future life paths.
The management of school discipline is another crucial responsibility. Be mindful of the impact of school facilities on student morale, and beware of signs of student distress. Overeating in the canteen could lead to weight gain, while an increase in eyeglass usage could signal excessive stress. Proper access to sanitary facilities is vital, as a lack thereof may lead to widespread anxiety and misuse of the school premises.
To maintain discipline, monitor for contraband among students and establish an effective punishment system. Handling real-time crises such as truancy, bullying, and questioning also falls within your responsibilities.
Fostering a balanced school environment through field days, morning exercises, and various events could help students regulate their emotions. Let’s School is a game of management, strategy, and decision-making, where every choice you make has far-reaching consequences!

Hey, i think you can add more management desks and hire more people for Bee House, instead of building a new room. 😃

I think the spirt of the well is a nod to the 'Lady in the lake' story, where a woodcutter drops his axe into a lake and a fairy comes and asks him if he dropped a golden axe or a plain axe (and plain axe is the correct answer). It's supposed to be a story about being truthful is rewarding, which is why you got the two good students.

19:47 when you have the room selected you see the temperature of the room 18C. Maybe the commenting person means that you need to complete 3 missions in the same category 48:22 if you would have waited for the hygiene cleaning to be finished you've finished 3 of those missions without claiming.

All the teachers, regardless of "job", are able to teach. Look at the actual schedule to see who's teaching what. Like, the homeroom designation is just the person *managing* the classroom, nothing to do with teaching subjects. Make sure you have good teachers actually teaching the subjects, and perhaps fire people who haven't kept up in level with what you need.

Another great video! I’m really enjoying your play through. Just a friendly note that when you replace items by placing the newer item on top you don’t get any money for the old item. You missed out on quite a bit of funds when redoing the girls bathrooms. You have to demolished the items to get any funds back. Also bike sheds are pretty cheap and bring in lots of students, teachers, and funds. Might want to consider, at least before the start of the next semester.

The new toilets were 300 coins but as he placed them, it came up with -$220 so I assume he got 80 off from the squat toilets.

@@allycat871 Yeah this was 4 weeks ago. He highlighted how it works by demolishing or by placing the new item over the old in the following video.

Those rainbow umbrellas are very popular in Korea. I have several of them - they're REALLY sturdy and strong - not flimsy like the ones we get in Australia, and cheap too!

one of your students is sick, I believe because they're still eating lunch out in the cold 😅 I am so addicted to this series!

I'm loving this series! What a funky little game, very charming. I have no idea why but I was so taken aback when you just put in even more hot water in the tea room instead of a water cooler lol ... I know it doesn't matter at all mechanically, but I was like "please no what if the kids want cold water!" haha. Anyway this is such a fun game to watch

With the goals system I think the person meant you get x3 only on the same area not across the 4 different areas.
So if you gained 600 contribution points (not claiming for the first 300) the circle would do another loop and then you’d see the X2 bonus. I only noticed when I kept forgetting to claim.

All the assigned staff are still able to teach, they can just only run / manage 1 department

The multiplication on the goals is only when you completer that category of the goal multiple times without collecting. Also there are drinking fountains you can scatter around the grounds to help for hydration, they don’t need to be in the tea room exclusively

It's probably a good idea to get a cafeteria, but you could just add a couple chairs to the tent area for the short term.

  • @LindsayHickeyNRC

Maybe build a specific classroom to see if those students move over to those classroom or at lease read the discription on them. It may giv me you an answer to if they will change classroom. Gettin ggv a cafeteria is a good idea as well.

They only use these special classrooms when that course calls for it on the schedule. Without these special rooms they will learn less. Sometimes two classes will want to use the same special classroom at the same time!
Also put up all your statues on the outside of the school as these statues will give the students "special benefits".

Demolish them, they give you $80 each. They melt on their own anyway, so there's really no downside to it.

*sighs* the coal burners were for the classrooms not the entire school. Best to research advanced climate options for all rooms The rest was mentioned back then in the comments here and earlier already, including replacing old stuff with new stuff and a new desk for management versus a whole new room for a single person.

As you pay $10000 to train up teachers’ potential, isn’t it better to send 3 teachers together?

    • @danielleoliver1734
      @danielleoliver1734 ปีที่แล้ว +4

They are 10000 each, it’s cheaper to just dismiss low level staff and employ ones with better development abilities

    • @LeonineF

It only makes sense to send yourself, the headmaster, and just fire and replace everyone else.
