I love this thing. Cheap as chips, uncomplicated to install even for a hamfisted guy like me and it bloody works. Mounted mine on the rear subframe of my Tiger within easy reach right underneath my left thigh, so that it stays well away from the engine heat that might heat up the reservoir and cause it to expel oil unintentionally. I use a 50:50 mix of cheap SAE90 & SAE140 gearbox oil, which seems to work really well in our hot tropical climate - it's miles better than chain lube coz there's no godawful sticky muck to contend with!
Had mine mounted in the same place and as soon as the engine got hot it warmed the oil up making pressure within the system meaning even without turning it it was dripping all the time. Had to mount it on the bars in the end and that sorted the problem
I smack my bars on branches and fall off a lot when I'm riding the green lanes, so tucked it down out of the way. I never thought about the engine heat, so I'll keep an eye on that 👍
Nice video. I got mine now. I wounder how it works because it is hole in the bottom of the container. If i fill it with oil it should just go through? I dont get it.
It creates a vacuum as the oil drips out. It will only start again when you ad positive pressure by screwing the top down a quarter turn. It will drip for about 3 minutes until the negative pressure builds up again.
