Alex Pereira knows that all khamzat got is “feint and takedown”, khamzat will never stand up and fight you like a man specially after he was beaten by Gilbert Burns. To beat khamzat, all you need are 2 things: Takedown defense, because he will never stand up and fight you like a Man. The second thing is changing the pace of the fight, he will start aggressive due to what he is taking before the fight (secret pre workout formula loaded with yohimbine and other ingredients that I don’t want to reveal here). Once you do that he will start get frustrated, and you will see the same frustrated fighter as he was against Gilbert Burns. Before UFC 279 I would have believed Khazmat but then after seeing his back and forth with Palo Costa and Palo taking his hat and taunting him talking so much smack and Khazmat not accepting a fight against Palo. I believe Alex now, especially since he said Rio in January and even wants to break his religion and make a bet with Brandon Schwab. Usually somebody who doesn’t want to fight somebody will go silent. I got Alex on this one.

Periera has no reason to lie or give Chimaev a title fight, meanwhile Chimaev went from “smesh everybody” to “I only fight bad guys and Whitaker is a good guy” and “I don’t fight guys like that” about Costa. Anyone bigger than him he doesn’t want to fight, he said he could handle Periera in one round but not at 205? So he wants someone to dehydrate and make a huge cut after they just won a title in a 5 round fight when he hasn’t taken damage since April? What kind of shit is that?

Khamzat is trying to get the Colby fight in march, fighting at 205 in January and then cutting to 170 in 2 months while trying to recover is madness. If it was 185 it would be different. If he would actually want to come in at similar weight to Pereira he would have to gain about 35 lbs and then cut 70 in 2 months... That is ridiculous. Only way that fight happens is if Pereira weighs 230 and Khamzat 190. 40 lbs difference, I'm not sure they would even sanction that fight, if Khamzat is any heavier than that the cut to 170 in march would be to hard, especially after struggling last time.

However based on last time Khamzat should not fight at 205 against some who walks around at 235 lbs 2 months before trying to make 170. That's all I'm saying. I think he could have made 185 for december 10:th, 185 is only about a 15 pound cut for Chimaev, weighing in at 205 in january (that's not walk around weight) and cutting to 170 for march if he were to fight massively undersized is 35 lbs in 2 months while recovering. It's a massive cut and the last thing he wants is to miss weight at 170 again cause then he's out. It would be dumb for him to fight at 205 in january if he actually wants the Colby fight. The issue is not the weight class they fight under, the issue is that the middle weight title won't be involved which is khamzat' target.

Pereira was medically suspended for 30 days on Nov 15 . He couldn’t fight on December 10 even if he wanted to which is more than likely why this fight is not happening.

I am not an MMA guy I just watch highlights and stuff but don't get into it. But I have to admit that I think Chael is by far and away the best person I have ever seen in promotional material he plays the bad guy persona perfectly. And I have just seen the interview where he was on about the candy wrapper being thrown on the floor and the twins having to share the Mercedes. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. I much prefer watching how the fighters got to where they are and their history. I have never watched an MMA fight ever and I do like all the press conference things where the fighters just talk trash on each other. And I haven't seen anyone better than Chael.

Gilbert is the only fighter he hasn’t ran through. He literally just ran through an elite Kevin holland after the Gilbert fight so not sure where you’re getting your info from. What I love about Chael is that he takes me on an MMA rifde where a no knothing fan can have this fast moving dynamic MMA scene with colour and controversy. People always miss the main key here and this happens on every call out ever made by two fighters, and that key is the UFC. They assume that every time a superstar fighter calls out another fighter or gets called out by another fighter, the UFC has no saying and just hands them out contracts and when the fight doesnt happen they automatically side with one fighter and label the other a coward and assume they turned down the fight. People need to keep in mind that the UFC has the final saying in what fight happens and sometimes they play on the audiences desires to negotiate with fighters to accept fights for the right price or make it seem like one fighter gets to call their shots when pushing said fighter in situations where the fighter’s desires aligns with what the UFC wants next for them. At the end of the day the UFC provides the platform, the contracts, the money, the coverage and allows the fights to happen they see necessary

But for me, one of the most disappointing things in MMA is when a new champion immediately starts to challenge other champs or jumping weight classes b4 even a single defense.... very frustrating. You're the champ, just defend you belt ffs. Definitely want to see that fight but it's a little sloppy right now. An easy adjustment to 185lbs and we're on! Chimaev has shown good ground game and Alex is champ and a beast. We could loose this gold if another fighter beats either one and sure that's fair but as fans and considering the business it's really not who is best as much as who we are all excited to see.

I think Chimaev team restricting him from going wild. His only hard fight was against Burns & he almost ruined that because he just want to brawl. He can fight every 4 to 8 weeks if he wants to. But his team preparing him for titles & long reigns at the top so he can't simply running around picking fight at every opportunity.
The fact that he apparently can't meet the weight he's chosen to fight at without a medical emergency and calling it off disproves that about how often he could fight. Maybe if he was very lucky with taking damage at middle weight but that's the only case

Khamzat got knocked around by a welterweight grappler with a glass jaw, Pereira is literally one of the best kickboxers of our time, he would light him up. Always has the chin up and he's simply too slow to get out of the way in time. He'd lose and he knows.
