As a Minnesotan who has gone every year of my 40 years (besides Covid closing) I hope you enjoyed the GREATEST fair in America! The food alone is next level. Cheers to MN!
It used to be THE THING in high school in the late 90’s to ride the Ye old Mill. I’ve forgotten what it looks like. So Thank You for that fond memory! 🥰
It does look like a lot of fun. I live in Fresno California, and they don't have anything that compares at the "Big Fresno Fair!" I'm not sure what they offer at the state fair in Sacramento, but I doubt it's anything like that. It looks like fun.
@@dianewilson5516 The state fairs are bigger and better than regular Town/ city fairs ,Sacramento state fair is huge tons of games/ rides and I use 2 live there & in Minnesota and both are about the same great rides, different food 2 try ,petting zoos ,arts, crafts ect, worth the trip from Fresno 2 the state fair plus the well known music artist who preform each night..Also the big water park is open during the fair..Both are great places
I absolutely love the MN State Fair. It’s one of the best fairs I’ve ever been to., and I’m a Texan. The big tub of chocolate chip cookies , and fresh milk are my favorite treats. Thank you for the laughs at 34:00 btw
At first it used to be fun, vicariously living through you while you go on these adventures. Now it’s turned to envy, because nothing can replace actually being there to experience it with your own eyes. Keep ‘‘em coming Carpet Bagger👍(inspiration)
Literally thank you so much for this, I live there and I just never did all those rides and things, now I got to see them through your eyes! After seeing them, I’m pleased with my decision to avoid them!! 😂 thrilled to see it however! Great video!!!
I agree with you that the Minnesota State Fair is way more intense than Texas, the fairs are ranked by attendance and the Texas SF is open for almost 2 months and Minnesota SF is only 2 weeks so there is no comparison. I was there once and people were lining up to get in at 7AM and it was crowded by 9...
Welcome to Minnesota, Jacob! It looks like you had fun at our state fair. It's pretty well known for all the various foods, so I'm glad you managed to nosh on some MN specialties!
Most of us locals do the park and ride. It's free and easier to get there. 😉 We go at least twice every year. That way a nice view of the fair. Thank you!
Welcome to MN state fair, I will be there shortly so it's so fun to see an outside touring the fair. I have been told our fair is 2nd place only due to it's limited run time (2 weeks) as TX Fair is open much longer.
Yeah most years Texas has higher total visit count but they run 20 days rather than 12 while Minnesota usually has the single day visit records so it’s all about how you count.
I saw The Carpetbagger there that night. Friday the 26th. I was walking past him with a couple buddies as he was wrapping up the vlog and I said hello. You covered all the stuff I didn't get to. I might go back to the fair this weekend and try those cheese curd tacos. Great video!
Please ignore my last comment. there is absolutely nothing wrong with the video nor the channel. I adore this channel and I'd never say anything bad about it. please forgive me, I don't always think things through. I swear I'm not a bad person, at least I try not to be. this is an awesome channel, I have been watching it for years. it has even carried me through when I was sick. you rock mr carpetbagger.
Glad to see you made it up to my stomping grounds! I hope you got a chance to check out Minnesota's Largest Candy Store while you were here. It'd make a great video on it's own!
The Cheese Curd Tacos looked inviting. Minnesota Fair looked to be a really fun day out with the family. Something for everyone to enjoy. Surprised you actually got on the Kamikazi. You're so much fun.
I love the Minnesota state fair I grew up in Minnesota but moved to Michigan in 2006 and make back almost every year for the fair the last fair I missed (I'm not counting the year covid shut it down) was 2011 I had also missed 2009 and 2010 (not my choice) but had gone every year before that
Welcome to Minnesota! Be glad that you went on a weekday and not a weekend, or you wouldn't have been able to see the walkways from that sky ride, it would be solid people. We always take a day off of work and go during the week when you can actually walk around without shoving people all day lol. What you see here is not even busy at the fair.
I'm glad you came by, I hope you got to get plenty of food and see more of the none-ride stuff before leaving! I really wanna try those cheese curd tacos now...
Awesome video! We were there with the kiddos yesterday for about 5 hrs and still missed so much stuff! Thanks for the video, it shows me what we should do/see next year!
Glad you had fun, wow the fair is winding down again... the end of the state fair officially is the end of summer for us Minnesotans... apple and October fests await!
As a Brit, I am SO jealous of American State Fairs. We have fun fairs here in the UK, but they are TINY compared to this - we literally get about 10 small rides and a couple of food vans and that's IT 😂
That is one of the most gut wrenching amusement park rides anywhere. You wouldn't catch me on that ride for a million bucks. Good job taking one for the vlog!
Thanks Jacob and I love your videos because they're so full of life, vivid colour and positivity ☀️ brilliant way to end my day. Thanks again and best wishes ❤️
Thank you so much Jacob for taking us around the Fair🎉 I really love to go on the Journey through the wonderfull US with you every Time ❤ Wish I could be there too 😢
Looks like a great fair. I love the landscaping and trees everywhere. I'm heading to the Big E in Massachusetts this weekend. It's a 5 state fair. All the new england states
I have friends in Cologne Minnesota, I am from Cologne Germany. I visited them 6 years ago, Minnesota is great, lovely openminded people ;) and of course the cheese curds are brilliant!
Those stairs were wild! You were brave! ;) Looks like a great fair!!! Yes! A cool looking dark ride I won’t be riding the Kamakazee anytime soon! Nope!
BWAHAHAHA! Oh Jacob..... "I've decided to step outside of my comfort zone.." (6 minutes later) "Oh No! What have I done here? What terrible decision have I made?" I laugh hysterics every time.
That's the neat thing about the Fair. I've never thought of it as a place for dark and scary rides, but Jacob made a day of it. There's something for everybody there.
40:07 Btw I've Talked To That Freddy Krueger Actor And He Was Actually Really Nice....They Usually Had A Jack Sparrow Actor Too, But He Wasn't There That Year
Thanks Jacob it was fun watching to see if any of my husbands family were in the back ground. I've never gotten to go to the fair yet, look forward to it one day.
You are brave Jacob. Kudos to you. I’ve went on a couple of those thrill rides several years ago at my local county fair. It takes nerves of steel and a strong stomach. Enjoyed the Haunted Castle, and the New York Fun House. And who doesn’t like fair food? Yum!
On your way back East, Try driving Hwy 35 from Prescott to Onalaska, WI. Be sure to check out the Rock in the House in Fountain (not to be confused with The House on the Rock in Sprin Green, WI, which is awesome for totally different reasons!)Also, the drive follow the Missippi River all the way down and is a great scenic drive! Love your content, Jacob!

That tunnel of love part is the funniest thing I've seen since the camel bite!LOL! Love you Jacob!
I’ve always heard about those big thought they were a thing of the past lol
I've been in the ol mill many times and you weren't alone in there everyone who watches and loves you were in there with you

I would totally go to an attraction with CB.
Aw, you missed the Dairy Princesses heads carved out of butter! That's the best part.
