Why would they remove that? It takes away the message. Anyway, the same thing happened with 101 Dalmations. Everyone wanted the breed, the problem is dalmations are not easy to take care of. In that decade, there were many of them abandoned. People didn't want toys. No. They wanted a living animal just so they could irresponsably throw it away once they found out they couldn't take care of them, or once they hype of the movie died out 😡😡😡😡

When Bolt rescues Penny from the fire, it shows that not all heroes wear capes. I actually cried a little when he realizes that he can get her out of there. And when Bolt sees Penny but she hugs the imposter dog, breaks my heart every time...
The part, during the fire, where Bolt tucks himself under Penny's arm and lies down next to her kills me every time. The fact that, at that point, he was laying down to die with her is just too much. Even more so than when he figures out a way to save her. And it's harder, because that isn't just Hollywood storytelling. There are many, verified, stories of pets doing just that. We don't deserve them.

Honestly, the OST for this film is so under rated, as is the movie itself. The song that plays when Bolt is in the burning building, which I believe is called "Rescuing Penny", was something I listened to on repeat for ages after watching this
If I remember correctly, they marketed the movie as a movie about a super dog. I don't recall knowing it was a TV show until I saw the actual movie in theaters. It would have been an interesting marketing strategy, and then when the TV show thing is revealed it leaves the audience feeling just as confused as the main character, which builds relatability.
The score in this movie was composed by John Powell, same as the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy. My favorite song in this movie is "Where Were You on St. Rhino's Day." It's the one when Bolt finally realizes he's not special and Rhino gives him the inspiring pep talk.
One of my favorite parts (second only to the scene where Bolt stays with Penny) is after the audience finds out that none of it is real, we see all the behind-the-scenes work. To me, Bolt is a lot like Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, given that it's a lot like the journey he has to take and re-connects with the dog he once was as a puppy; much like how Chance ends up using the journey he goes through that taught him what family is. You have to admit that the similarities of both movies are parallel.
Love this movie. The ending always makes me want to cry because I see that they adopted Mittens as well and Mittens reminds me of my cat Cookie who was declawed and abandoned outside in a cage by herself and abandoned in the streets. My mom found her and she gave her to me to take care of her but I didn't want to let her go and for her to go through another abandonment and so I adopted her and gave her lots of love and a good home. Been 7 years this month. The ending always reminds me of my cat and how I rescued her off the streets and it makes my heart melt and think how bless we are to have found each her. But overall great movie. Lots of action, fun, and adventure, and great message of animal rescue and giving animals a 2nd chance at life.

I have such cherished memories of this film. I've been collecting movie tickets for 13 years, and this was the first ticket that started my collection. My dad took me to see Bolt multiple times because I loved it so much. I'm so grateful. My dad also got me the PS2 video game, which the storyline is like the TV show that Bolt and Penny were starring in. So you play as Bolt with superpowers, and some of the levels are quite a challenge. I was able to replay it a couple years ago on PS Now and it was super nostalgic. I was so excited to see you uploaded this. Looking forward to more Nick! Your reactions and videos are such a joy to watch. ^ ^
This film is another underrated one. Emotional on so many levels. I watched this for the first time a few days after my own special boy crossed rainbow bridge and I was crying like a baby at the end when she called him her good boy- which was the last words I said to him. I love Bolt so much, such a wonderfull movie, even after the years, I never forgot about it! I teared up again in the scene Bolts saves Penny with the "Super Bark" from thefirte. I always get so emotional in that little scene for some reason XDD
I can’t remember if I saw this in theaters or not, but this and Meet the Robinsons were my all time favorite movies! I desperately wanted to see Bolt when it first came out and was beyond the moon happy when it was released on dvd! I even had the Wii game. I played it for hours and days, but stopped playing it because one level kept kicking my butt every single time!

The humans who “declaw” their cats are monsters!! If you can’t handle your cat “ruining” you carpet get them a cat tower, learn their language cats rarely attack without giving cues like the tail moving or the stare without the “cat i love you” I don’t even put a collar on my kitty because a lot of cats will fall from windows/balconies and unfortunately if their are trees they will die from being hanged by their own collar😢

As a kid watching this movie, I didn’t like it because it always bothered me that Bolt’s powers turned out to be fake. But looking back on it now, as an adult, I now see that there’s something deeper in this movie. Plus, the part where Bolt rescues Penny from that fire, shows that even without superpowers, you can still be a hero and do heroic things

Wow, I’m glad you also loved this film, Nick! Truth be told, I have loved Bolt since first seeing it in theaters back in 2008. I loved the comedy, including the really hilarious script at points, and of course the chemistry with the three animal characters. Honestly, I thought this was a better precursor to the Disney Revival Era than Oliver seemed to be to the Disney Renaissance Era 20 years before. Not to mention the great visuals, and animation. Do I think it was as good as say recent Disney films like Zootopia? No! Still, a fun movie, though. I would definitely agree with you, and also give it a 9.5/10. Great review, and I am now looking forward to Kung Fu Panda, and Ice Age 3!
The LATAM dub of the pigeons makes me cry always. The people who dubbed the pigeons were the members of the group "Les Luthiers", one of the bests comedic group I've ever met. I miss them so much...

I loved this movie before so much! I need to really re-watch it. I love the Finnish version of the song more, because that's my mother language and how I've seen this and many many other Disney movies. Just now much later when I re-watch these movies, I try to watch them in english. Before I've seen some movie parts in english, but the songs doesn't always get me the same way.

So you play as Bolt with superpowers, and some of the levels are quite a challenge. I was able to replay it a couple years ago on PS Now and it was super nostalgic. This film is another underrated one. Emotional on so many levels. I watched this for the first time a few days after my own special boy crossed rainbow bridge and I was crying like a baby at the end when she called him her good boy- which was the last words I said to him. Anyway I digress. Brilliant reaction and omg I forgot how much I love Rino! 😂😂😂
I remember going to see Bolt in theatres twice when it came out and I really loved it. It's one of my favorite Disney movies and I give it 10/10.

I can’t remember if I saw this in theaters or not, but this and Meet the Robinsons were my all time favorite movies! I desperately wanted to see Bolt when it first came out and was beyond the moon happy when it was released on dvd! I even had the Wii game. I played it for hours and days, but stopped playing it because one level kept kicking my butt every single time!

Bro! this is one of my favorite Disney movies in the 2000s! and one of the most forgotten movies in Disney franchise! It’s so good and yet we forgot about it and I’ve always wondered what was his next adventure layout for Bolt!
The humans who “declaw” their cats are monsters!! If you can’t handle your cat “ruining” you carpet get them a cat tower, learn their language cats rarely attack without giving cues like the tail moving or the stare without the “cat i love you”
I don’t even put a collar on my kitty because a lot of cats will fall from windows/balconies and unfortunately if their are trees they will die from being hanged by their own collar😢
This movie was my CHILDHOOD. I’ve watched this movie more times than i can begin to count now and every time is just as special as the first. This movie will always hold a special place in my heart, i even played the Bolt video game on PS2 😂 such an underrated movie

As a kid watching this movie, I didn’t like it because it always bothered me that Bolt’s powers turned out to be fake. But looking back on it now, as an adult, I now see that there’s something deeper in this movie. Plus, the part where Bolt rescues Penny from that fire, shows that even without superpowers, you can still be a hero and do heroic things

Wow, I’m glad you also loved this film, Nick! Truth be told, I have loved Bolt since first seeing it in theaters back in 2008. I loved the comedy, including the really hilarious script at points, and of course the chemistry with the three animal characters. Honestly, I thought this was a better precursor to the Disney Revival Era than Oliver seemed to be to the Disney Renaissance Era 20 years before. Not to mention the great visuals, and animation. Do I think it was as good as say recent Disney films like Zootopia? No! Still, a fun movie, though. I would definitely agree with you, and also give it a 9.5/10. Great review, and I am now looking forward to Kung Fu Panda, and Ice Age 3!

The LATAM dub of the pigeons makes me cry always. The people who dubbed the pigeons were the members of the group "Les Luthiers", one of the bests comedic group I've ever met. I miss them so much...

Me, my Grandmother and my mother loves this movie me and my mom saw it in theatres when I was six or 7 and where surprised about what this film was acutely about sadly why it did not do so well was a trouble production it was supposed to be the dog version of Lilo and Stitch but changed so much over the years that it kept getting postpone.

I loved this movie before so much! I need to really re-watch it. I love the Finnish version of the song more, because that's my mother language and how I've seen this and many many other Disney movies. Just now much later when I re-watch these movies, I try to watch them in english. Before I've seen some movie parts in english, but the songs doesn't always get me the same way.

This is a pretty good movie, I'm glad you liked it! There's another movie with a somewhat similar premise called Firehouse Dog. If you haven't seen that I'd definitely recommend it, I bet you would really enjoy it!
