Why not go with actual snake boots? They are very tough as well and certainly no more expensive.
I do some leather work and glue on the thread would be fine. It is used all the time in leather work. I would suggest something like Barges glue or S-18 All Purpose glue.

Because these are snake boots but better. That's not what they were intended to be, but that's what they are to me; and I like them a whole lot more than any of the snake boots I looked at.

@@arizonaadam3000 Cool. I have a pair of MX boots myself along with shin guards but I tend to worry about the upper calf not being protected.

@@hazcat640 Are they thick? Most snakes' fangs are less than 2" long. They say they can get up to 4 - 6" but that seems incredibly rare. Most of the ones I've seen online and up close are only about 0.5 - 1" long.
