Thank you very much for posting this! I saw it when I was a teenager and had it on VHS, which has long faded away. It’s fantastic to find it here and be able to watch again ❤

Except death is final. You can always get castrated & fend of a voice break?
      Whatever tickles your fancy.

    Fascinating. A few highlights:
Nick Todd at 18:49 who now sings tenor with Alamire
32:54 a chorister's opinion on Judith Weir's commissions for the choir
39:46 Guy Johnston cello practice. His brother Magnus, now a violinist, at 48:23
41:27 Ashley Grote on being a probationer
Dominic Gill the filmmaker at 48:00

Also my husband Marcus Body at 3:18 to 3:22 opening a letter from his parents. He now plays the jazz trumpet with The Spanner Big Band every Wednesday night in Highbury.

11.55 Correct. When I was in the choir however, the Cantor (Precentor) was on Decani.
Possibly wasn't room for him on Cantoris.

Are you talking about the boys in the choir?

@@johnwoods7650 No. The Precentor. He was on Decani. Not Cantoris.

By the way, does anybody know which boy did sing the ‘Once in Royal’ at the Christmas thing? They didn’t say, and I’ve been wondering about it for more than 30 years :)

@@R_Jackson Don't mention it. Beati is my favourite Stanford work. That Beati harmonic is sublime.

@@missasinenomine Exquisite indeed! I have always loved Beati, and treasure my recordings of it from Kings in 1974 under Sir David Willcocks and from St Paul's in 1989 under John Scott. It always brings great peace.

May the church of this choir along with its Sovereign, by the Grace of God, return to the Barque of Peter.
