    Really falling in love with that Land Cruiser! Fun fact, the 70 Land Cruisers are still being sold in Canada with the exception of it being in under very strict conditions and it’s only used in mining industries.

    Congrats on picking up a great truck. An iconic vehicle here in Australia. In the remote areas of the country, the 70 series is mainly what you'll see on the roads - they're just so tough and reliable. But you already know that ;) I got my 76 series in December, and love it - so much character and fun to drive.

    Nice buy, thanks to the rona prices on 2nd hand LC70s have been sky high over here in Aus for the last couple of years.
    also with the fire extinguisher under the drivers seat like that I suspect this is an ex Mine vehicle, which would explain why the rear end is sitting so high.
    The Mines will almost always beef up the suspension in their 70s, so if she seems way too stiff then its probably set for a fairly high constant load. Mind you, they're always a bit stiff empty anyway.
    Still, it's an awesome machine, and I can't wait to see what you do with it over there. 👍

    • @allterraintrails
      @allterraintrails  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thankfully we got this one for a good price! It’s not an ex mine vehicle, it was bought at a private sale from a private owner who had it for several years as a daily driver. Definitely some beefy leaf springs tho. We will be building a small home in the back eventually so the extra leafs will come in handy for the weight.

      @@allterraintrails Toyota is one of the biggest selling vehicles in Australia. My family use them on their 2 properties in Queensland Aust . Towing a 3.5 tonne trailer fully loaded doesn't worry it at all. Ours are 79 Series diesels using the V8 Diesel . You'll still get yrs of good use out of yours. The 4.0 straight 6 diesel is a bullet proof unit. They are Easy to work on , parts even in Canada shouldn't be too difficult or expensive to source. Great choice of vehicle. • @allterraintrails
      @allterraintrails  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! They are still quite rare here in Canada. I have never seen another one. It's not terribly difficult to register but you will need an "out of province inspection" done where they inspect to make sure the vehicle is road worthy. That's about it! What province are you moving to?
