So this also happened to me and it was a small one that was very able to crawl deep into my ear. I was probably about 12 or 13 and just like you I woke up to it happening but I tried to stick my finger in to get it out and just pushed it deeper because I had no idea what to do. Long story short they got it out at the hospital after I woke everyone in the house up because I was screaming. Turns out your eardrum is super sensitive to pain and a roach freaking out and stomping around on it is one of the worst feelings in this world. So it could have been a lot worse trust me 🤣
That is awful, I'm so sorry you had to be part of the club of ear roach victims. Yours sounds much worse though, probably one of the very first things I did after getting it out was look up how common it is and read plenty of horror stories so I'm very thankful it wasn't as bad as it could've been. It's something I wouldn't wish on anyone so I hope life has been kind to you since then :)
Well, i sleep with earphones so this don't happen, and there's was even one more factor, my grandmother she used some type of poison for cockcroaches which they pass to other cockcroaches so all the cockcroaches are dead on my apartament.

I kept trying to shake the water out of my ear, but then I sat still and realized there was a fuckin bug in there. I instantly got up out of my bed and ran to my parents room freaking out that there was a bug in my ear. Didn’t know what else to do. Oh, how conveniently, my mom read somewhere online like 2 weeks prior that olive oil can be used to get bugs out of the ear as it suffocates them and they run to fresh air. half asleep , she runs downstairs and grabs olive oil and a spoon and pours it down my ear. I felt that morherfucker wriggle, squirm, and suffocate in my ear. It fell out and then all was over. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard in the last 3 years lmao it stripped me of all my dignity. I broke my arm in a rugby match and this still produced more horror. I then slept in fetal position with my fingers in my ears the rest of the night. TLDR; but in my ear turned me to a sissy, my parents are GOATS and olive oil is the solution. 20yo btw

She woke up at night in pain and no one could figure out what it was, my mother put oil in her ear and when the pain was less she went back to sleep. We went to the doctor the next day and the doctor pulled out a giant cockroach from her ear, he said that putting oil in her ear was the right move as the cockroach couldn't breath and died, he also said that if she wouldn't have done that, she'd probably be dead since the cockroach would've torn the eardrum and gotten inside. Moral of the story, if you feel excruciating pain in your ear, might as well put hair oil in that, might just save your life.
I had to come back to this video because I just had to go to the hospital to get a moth removed from my ear. They filled my ear with lidocaine to kill the moth and numb my ear. I could feel the moth dying. Now I'm watching this video to forget a moth that flew into my ear.

The nurses acted like I was simple so to alleviate stress and make myself laugh about it I acted accordingly. I honestly almost passed out because it was blocking my entire airway. This isn't even the worst thing thats happened to me while I slept because Australia do be like that sometimes.

I've had a roach in my mouth while I slept. It tasted strangely metallic? It quickly went out when I started to wake up, but man. I had to brush my teeth like four times to help with the thought of those little critters crawling about in my maw.

If you have to live with roaches, I would strongly suggest a bag of cotton balls. Cheap and easy to use. You don't cram the sh!t in your ears. Just take a ball and gently tuck it a bit. Roach will not be able to make it in to far before you wake up and sh!t your shorts, but its a better safety net, than nothing at all.
