The reason creepypasta has a bad reputation is cause they're so poorly written and follow a cliche formula. "Guy finds lost episode/cut scenes and its the main character of said show/movie doing horrible acts of violence with animation and sfx that look and sound 'more realistic and brural' than the normal tone".
Yeah, the formula for the lost episode creepypasta is very tiresome but I'm still enjoying getting to read some of these stories I forgot about.
The gaming creepypasta scene is super similar.

I honestly find it pretty interesting how Lost Episode Creepypastas and Video Game Creepypastas seem to take completely opposite approaches when it comes to describing their graphics/animation when they're otherwise very similar. Lost Episodes are commonly described as looking abnormally lackluster compared to the rest of their series, while Video Games are commonly described as being impossibly impressive compared to the other games on their console. I'd love to know if this parallel was intentional or not, but it'd probably be impossible to figure that out.
Lots and lots of research and we could find that answer.

The Black Friday Incident is 90% true. The bits with the gore and stuff are of course just creepypastas stuff, but with how much it borrows from real life it actually caught me off guard.
Animation has a shit ton of interesting trivia, like how Toy Story 2 nearly never came to be due to a computer error which started deleting everything.
I remember the early Woody reels with him being a jerk to everyone and very hostile. That's the extent of my knowledge though.
i love that The Black Friday Incident is like entirely the opposite of what actually happened, originally the movie did have a meaner tone with how Woody acted, he was just a more mean all around and just an asshole. Then the higher ups came in and made them make it more kid friendly
Faith Buddies sounds like a really cool concept for an analog horror series. I wish someone with a budget would pick it up

ok but the imagery that went along with “the grieving” gave me legit nightmares when I was 10. I’m still too scared to actually look it up, even though it definitely isn’t as scary as i once thought it was, heh
Also, fun fact: the creepypasta was actually referenced in an episode. I was watching the show on TV when there suddenly was a notice telling me to turn off the TV. Since I was 10, this terrified me. It then cut to that clip of the chihuahua playing the saxophone. If you know, you know.

I remember a Tom and Jerry episode that ended really dark, and I can’t believe they aired it, more then once even. The one where both Tom and Jerry’s girlfriends leave them for other guys and in the end both Tom and Jerry are looking all run down, very depressed, and just sitting together on the railroad tracks apparently waiting for the train to come.
I think the episode was called "blue cat blues"

@@skystoyhunts7225 I believe it was later, but even worse, and this one I’ve seen in the last year, was an episode of Gumball that was definitely based on Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. Exact same art style with creepy puppets kidnapping Darwin and Gumball goes to save him. The puppets sing a song about how the fun will never end all about basically torturing Darwin and Gumball for eternity. Worse yet, this wasn’t shown during some late night type of Adult Swim but I saw it in the middle of the afternoon on Cartoon Network I believe it was. Someone must’ve snuck that one in there as I have no clue how they got away with showing it during the hours that children are watching.

I remember watching the older version of Willy Wonka, the Gene Wilder ( I think that was who it was), and it terrified me so badly, I was so upset my mother asked me why it scared me so bad, I told her because he was killing the kids. I was convinced that the kids were all killed, not just being taught a lesson.

Y'know the irony here is the "edgy" Toy Story movie is actually almost believable.
That's exactly how I'd expect a tongue-in-cheek "do not disturb" note / reply to go down. Except prolly in storyboard. The least believable part of that entire thing from how you relayed it would be that the end result wasn't an odd mix of laughter and embarrassment. Y'know. Following obviously Toy Story era Disney requesting, "more edge."

As I believe someone stated somewhere once before, the reverse is actually true, Pixar wanted it to be darker, and Disney ended up convincing them to change it.
