We used to 2000g wet and dry the underside to get rid of big scores and the yacth varnish to seal it. The mini was a very popular indoor carpet racer and again very basic. Anyway. Beautifully presented Williams moustache guided rocket!
With the scratched chassis you can lightly rub them down with wet and dry paper , start with 600 grit then 1200, you won't get it all but it will be much better , after that believe it or not old fashioned boot polish works a treat to bring back the shine .
Still have my FW14 I bought new back in the day. All 100% original and only been run half a dozen times. A piece of tamiya history and getting rarer by the day.
I’ve never been a big F1 fan in general but love running my current modified Tamiya F104 Pro at the local tracks it still holds its own against the newer cars from Associated, X-ray etc.

I've binge watched several of your videos after returning myself to the hobby following a long break. Very impressed with your collection and can't understand how the algorithm hasn't promoted your content more. I wonder, have you done an F201 or TA04 video (can't see them, but then again I've not watched all the videos yet)? I first got into the hobby with a TA03, then moved to the TA04. I think you had a video where you covered bling and mentioned an X-Ray chassis that reminded me heavily of the TA04.
I had a F102 Tyrell Ford as a kid, and these Screws are original ;-) If you ever changeyour mind on driving it, try to get your hands on some front axles and a spoiler. These are theonly parts that might eventually break.
It is really nice. My dream car would be a Whittington bros Porsche 935.It is a very infamous car because of things that the owners did and it is very special to me😅
Great looking model, one of the best F1 cars ever made with one of the greatest ever drivers! I have to say it's pretty likely to be a repro shell though, one clue is that it has the Camel sponsorship decals which the original car never had due to tobacco advertising. That itself doesn't mean much though as someone could easily add those, but the main clue is if you look at the vacuum forming around the driver there looks to be a pinch in it which has been trimmed down, my brother got a repro fw14 shell which was the same, and I have a Jordan 191 which also has a pinch over the middle of the driver.
Love Tamiyas F1 cars. I have the Kimi Raikonnen F60 on an F104 chassis I'm almost finished prepping for parking lot duty this summer. The F104 has proven to be quite durable for me. I've never broken it. Might have melted the plastic rear diff... Those old 21t Orion Method motors like to run.... Lol
Yup. As you said, super basic. The f-1 chassis are always underwhelming under the body lol. My old hpi micro rs4 has a more in depth chassis layout than that. Love the decals on the tires as you said too. Great video!!!!
I want to get my bro a f1 for his birthday, toss up between the f104 pro 2 for £160 or the3racing f113 for £120. would likely put a f104 front on the 3racing to improve it.. any advice from yourself or the viewers? Iam tempted on getting both and let him choose.

Love it! Being Canadian I love the Labatt livery on there also plus we have a strong connection to Williams F1 also! Great video quality too btw!

I loved F1 then Mansell & senna I was 21/22 I hated senna at the time wanted Mansell to win all the time , then few years later Schumacher took over
