I will know about other country, but the prodecure might be similar to indin, china do have their own developed applications, was it too big challenge for you search whether train, bus or route! It happened when a police officer showeda direction nd at the same owner showed far away.... most of your time waste to reach at certain place..
Chongqing is nothing to do with most developed city in China, it's just one of the tier 2 cities among Chengdu, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Qingdao, Dalian, Changsha, Wuhan, Hefei etc.

China's transportation is far more organized and better than the west so their price is justified and Chinese population can afford to travel.
