Patna to Jhansi Road Trip | Patna to Orchha | Roving Family
We traveled from Patna to Orchha near Jhansi in Jan 2022. The route we used was via Buxar Ghazipur Lucknow Kanpur Orai Jhansi.
We started at 01:50 pm from Patna. Patna Buxar four lane road is under construction and it took more than 5 hours to reach Ghazipur. Ghazipur to Lucknow Purvanchal Expressway is complete. Now traffic is good on this highway. We completed this stretch in 4 hours.
Near Unnao around 1 am we slept in the car for 3 hours and then continued our journey. Crossed Kanpur at 5 am and encountered dense fog. We took a break on Orai Bypass for morning rituals. We reached Jhansi around 9 am and then Orchha at 9:30 am.

Petrol pump ka toilet is a public facility, woh kisi ko rok nahi sakte.
Baki raat me koi bhi pump wala mana nahi karta rukne ke liye.

Planning to drive to Patna from Pune..which route would be better? I had travelled around 15 months back..the route had taken then was Pune - Indore-katni-varanasi-patna..but 100 kms before mirzapur and then mohaniya to Patna was very bad..

Use the same route. It is in much better condition now. To avoid 100 km before mirzapur you can go via Prayagraj.
Alternate route is
Guna jhansi kanpur lucknow ghazipur ara patna.
But again buxar to patna is not in good condition.
