In October 2021 during Durga Puja break we went to Meghalaya on a road trip. This video is 1st episode of this series in which we have traveled from Patna to Guwahati non-stop.

In 1992 I was allotted a Premier Padmini car at New Delhi and I drove alone from Delhi to Guwahati covering approximately 2165 kms. On way I took nigh halts at Allahabad, Patna my home town and last at Siliguri. I got an average of 18 Kms per litre of Petrol.
Engine cooling was so good that I had refill only one bottle of water.

Me too, but my wife is not agree.Although we have travelled from jhansi to-Amarkantak,Dwarika-Porbandar-Somnath, Bikaner-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur by car and once by bike from Haridwar to Dehradun-Chandigarh-Solan-Simla-Ambala.

Welcome to North-East sir. Try to visit Kaziranga national park and do the elephant safari. Kids will love it. Also, there is a orchid park where your family will enjoy folk dance, local food. Happy and safe journey.

I know everyone have their own preferences but usually I have found that starting very early morning helps me cover lot of distance (as most are still sleeping) and avoiding travelling at night on unknown or untravelled roads. God forbid if there is issue in car.. it’s harder to get help at night.

For your safety and that of the kids, please make sure the rear occupants are also wearing seat belts. More so on a road trip on high speed highways. Keep vlogging.
I was looking for a comment for the rear passengers safety and found one 🙂 True, I live in US and it is illegal here for rear passengers especially children to travel sleeping or lose on their seats. Please take utmost safety measurements first before you set out on a journey. As a physics faculty you probably know the impact intensity on a 100/kph average speed. Your videos are excellent otherwise 👍...

I have seen a few vlogs of yours like patna to noida and ahead. I just like your simple explanation of the road trip and the way to describe the different food stuff. I like the distance information and fuel consumption details. God bless your spirit of traveling and your lovely family. I have also a great desire to travel like this. I have travelled from Bombay to Gorakhpur Sinauli border of nepal and back. Then Bombay to Bangalore to Madras and back. Unfortunately lost my wife in an accident in Bombay in 2017 and everything, all aspirations has come to an end. So I see you videos and make up for it. All the best keep fulfilling and enjoying your travel dreams. Lucky man.

Hum last week hi Guwahati se Nepal road trip karke laute hain, Creta se.
Hum Guwahati - Bongaigaon - Sevoke - Siliguri - Araria - Muzaffarpur - Raxaul - Kathmandu - Pokhara route se gaye. Hamare Nepal ke vlogs jaldi aayenge.
Aap bhi lautne ke waqt Sevoke wale route se jaiye, bohot achhi condition me hai road, safety ka koi issue nahi hai.
