I love mine to drop inside a tote bag. It's just a perfect size to stay put and keep smaller items from falling out and tech gear dry. It solves the issues I have with tote bags. And it looks nice.

You mentioned documents, but standard 8.5x11 sized paper absolutely does not fit.
A real swing and a miss by EG on the sizing of this one.

Construction and materials wise, there are similar envelope types for a better price point, however, i like the flat base, over a the similar shaped Magpul Daka line.

Huge miss from Evergoods, but perhaps more disappointing is their response to the feedback. They're basically doubling down on how awesome the little pouch is and how justified they are in their pricing. It's not a good look. Super tone deaf and out of touch.
