As a young teenager, I watched this movie relating with Gogol. Now I am in my mid thirties expecting a child. I watched it through the young father. A few years down the line, it will again hit different. This is what I call a timeless classic.

Reading this book broke me, "the most teriffying thing is reality" you will understand this as you age. Being cheated on, trying to find your roots in a new place, understand new things and questioning why we do things this way and losing parents, this is realistic shit I have ever read.

One of the most beautiful edits I have ever seen.
The Namesake was the first movie that truly "hit" me. I was just a teenager. I was just leaving home to an unknown city for JEE coaching. Some years later, when I first went out of India, I watched this as I saw the first snowfall there. I watched it whenever I think of home, of parents, of family. A classic! A wonderful edit!!! Thank you so much!

Gogol grew up becoming a completely different person from what his dad wanted.
In the end he decided to rent a space far from family and die alone with flashbacks of past.
You must have a great sense for art given that you combined a great movie and an excellent song seamlessly.
