The Namesake was the first movie that truly "hit" me. I was just a teenager. I was just leaving home to an unknown city for JEE coaching. Some years later, when I first went out of India, I watched this as I saw the first snowfall there. I watched it whenever I think of home, of parents, of family. A classic! A wonderful edit!!! Reading this book broke me, "the most teriffying thing is reality" you will understand this as you age. Being cheated on, trying to find your roots in a new place, understand new things and questioning why we do things this way and losing parents, this is realistic shit I have ever read.

My US visa got rejected in 2022 and I am very happy that I did not went abroad and today I realise how worse things could have turned for my parents as I'm the only kid of theirs. today I thank lord Krishna my goddess kuldevi that me my ma papa and my wife are happily loving together eating in same thali and love is in the air :) trust me India is 1000 times far better than going abroad!
