Very pleased with the update! As usual clear and useful information and thanks for not being snobs and only review high-end equipment. Please update the other comparison video's too (when relevant).
Independently from watching this video, I had chosen to opt for PreSonus E8 as my very first speakers for working at home. However, I was very unsure of my choice (im still only making my first steps in sound engineering), besides, the model didnt seem very popular or famous. But seeing those monitors on your video immediately made me happier than ever and also determined my choice! Thank you Kosmic on your great work and rich advice! Buying my PreSonus e8 tomorrow right away!
Kosmic With all due respect... I'm sorry, but I agree with Bryan Dunn, and will even go further to say that this video has largely been a waste of time. While all that you say(write above in comments) may be true, if you are going to do a COMPARISON you have to make JUDGEMENT, and choose one over another, tell me which one is better/best, at least in your own personal opinion. It may be completely biased or subjective based upon your own preferences, but at least you will take a stand, and give me something to go upon. There's a reason why movie ratings have stars, thumbs up or thumbs down, they are not simply reviews restating/summarizing what happened. I don't want to know what happened(or maybe I do) but not as much as what you thought about it. As for coming into the store; if I lived there I would, but I don't. And if I lived near a store carrying any of these brands I would go to listen, but I doubt that I do. The whole point of watching videos like these is to get a recommendation of one speaker over another. You have all the speakers there and the ability to really compare them with each other; the sound quality, build quality, design features and other things, do this and give your results and opinions on them, otherwise what are you really saying? Like Bryan Dunn said, all that you've said could be had from product catalogs or the net(you almost sound like a salesman or product rep, I cannot remember hearing anything negative about any of them) what cannot easily be found is direct comparisons between products. Even if we cannot hear the differences because we are not there, you can, and that's the point. Listen, hear the differences, see the differences, feel the differences, then report the differences, and preferably make a statement/judgement about those differences, that is what a comparison is. com·pare kəmˈper/ verb 1. estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between. And that's most important because people are trying to decide which ONE(which ONE of many) to get. Please do the comparison and then report your findings, thank you.
+mydogskips2 All you need is the information of frequency response. You've wrote far too much for anyone to bother reading that tripe, its youtube. He's basically putting to us all these different monitors he rates, and explaining to us the main sale points of the individual monitors. Playing audio to us through a fucking youtube video is the most retarded thing anybody could ask. And for that reason I'm with Kosmic.
+mydogskips2 You realize you won't be able to hear the differences in dynamic range with the speakers you currently own right? I hope you also realize that audio quality gets decreased due to encoding on TH-cam even in HD mode. An audio test is completely pointless. Kosmic provided a lot of fantastic information about the brands and speakers in a less dense format than a manual or a catalog. I don't know what you or Bryan were expecting, but the only real way to hear the difference in quality of monitors is to listen to said monitors in a proper setting.
Bought the RCF Ayra 8....has as an option a 10" sub, which I didn't need. Clear and true. Scored from a friend for $500 a pair. Like the reviewer said, it's all what you get used to as you learn how each set sounds.
im looking at ur review good review..i have a question u probably said it but i didnt get it...i wanna get some rokits but i wanna know which ones are better to mix in...is it the 5s 6s or 8s...like which one would be good over all for a all purpose
Can you check out the Rockville studio monitor? Rockville is a somewhat rather new speaker company and they've got what it takes I think to at least show up somewhat of "headturnig" for what they are really
Its very difficult to make honest comparison online. If you listen through headphones no matter how good they are, you are still listening to *your* phones, not the speakers in question. Speakers are more than just frequency response curves. There is a 'feel' in the sound that you won't get unless you are in front. That said though, for comparison Sonic Sense does them and its as good as online comparison gets. Go to their channel oh and make sure you use some very good headphones/speakers.
5cre4my exactly. Music is all personal preference. U can't say this monitor is better than this just because there's a day n night price n spec difference
So, I have a budget of 300-400 euros and I don't produce music myself, but I like good quality speakers and good bass especially. What kind of speakers should i get?
i want an upgrade from what i've already had, what do you recommend under the budget of $1000 ? Thanks something that has clarity in the mids & highs, not to muddy on the bass
Cant Decide: Swan 200 MKIII, The new Mackie that is 400$,Edifer 2000 pro or JBL with the 6 inch ANY thoughts? Any own/hear them all or have advice? I LOVE everything about the Swans BUT hear constantly hear they break/get a hum after 1 year or less and NEVER get fixed
My KrK's don't make the same sound. In studio I send a mono piano sound left and right and you can tell of a difference. How would I know which one is broken? :|
The Presonus have hi mid and low adjustments on the back to adjust them to your room if need be, they also have a 3 way acoustic space switch that will compensate the lows if you have the speakers situated close to walls. I had KRK Rokit 5's and while they sounded nice, it was hard to get a mix on them that wasn't muddy, I've had the presonus for a couple of weeks and my mixes are spot on now. They're very clear. The thing I like the most about them is I can clearly hear where instruments are in the stereo field.
hello i know this is off topic but is there any good computer speakers you would reccomend and not on a recording side just for every day music listener?
Hey guys been following your great and informative videos for awhile. My question is simple does the left monitor have to match the right monitor? example on your previous video you showcase a monitors Equator Q12 but then I also enjoyed the Event Opal what's your idea if I used one of each to make up a studio monitor system?
Which type of speakers would you recommend for mixing? I was thinking about getting KRK RP5G3-NA Rokit 5 Generation 3 Powered Studio Monitors(name from amazon), but i want to know if they will get the job done and great video!
Check out the Equator D5's. They are not very popular, but they are top quality and cheaper than most 5-inch speakers. I have them, and they are great for producing electro house.
Nick Croke I have seen the innards of Behringer Truth B2030P. It was a catastrophe. It's a passive version of their monitor, they put in an off the shelf 12db/oct crossover. The result was that the stiff woofer membrane rained a ton of distortion into the midrange, and there was cancellation alternating with amplification under a lot of angles. The components themselves weren't per se too cheap, but that shows absolutely moronic engineering. I'm not saying i could have done a whole lot better if i was strapped for time, there's the hindsight thing and it's easy to be a critic, but it's not so hard to find a pro who knows what they're doing, so i would call this irresponsible. There's a pattern with a lot of things this company does, not everything is bad, a lot of products are actually good for what they are, and i think it's specific products and product lines that earned them their terrible reputation of reliability which doesn't extend to everything, but SO irresponsible as a company.
Siana Gearz I agree with what your saying about behringers rep but i do like the 1030as especially for my situation which is like his i was looking for cheap and not too fancy. then again these are my only pair ive owned so what do i know? just my opinion
Question, I have a xzenyx 1204 mixer do I still have to have a interface and what do you recommend and if not do these mixers have a internal interface
Can you give me an honest opinion on the Monoprice 8-inch Powered Studio Monitor Speakers? People are comparing them to speakers in the $500 range, and they are
can anyone tell me witch one i should take from all this monitors??? i will create my home studio and i am a guitarist. i really need your advice.thank you all
Dear Leonard, could you kindly advise if studio monitors, such as the KRK rokit 5, would be a good set of everyday speakers used to solely watch movies and listen to music? I will be plugging it into my laptop and mainly watch movies and listen to music in my small room. I also actually do not do any mixing or produce any kind of music. Cheers :)
Kosmic When I actually decided to put monitors in my home for critical listening, I was surprised at how well they benefited other entertainment mediums in the nearfield. Honestly, I think all speakers should strive for a "flat" response though.
Kosmic PerryR1985 by 'flat' response you mean a correctly response?. Another question, my bedroom is 9X9 feet long (3X3 metres), a Rokit 5 will suit ok ? or maybe a 6 or 8 ?
Hello Leonard, any chance You could give me some insight about a pair of monitors for 200 bucks. i am thinking M-Audio BX8 D2 but I know nothing concerning quality. Thanks for your videos and insights.
hi I was planning to buy one of these for rear monitoring (music production) in a home studio but because I have a really good amp, I opt to buy instead the jbl CONTROL 1xtreme (passive speakers), in the spec manual sheet they claim to be for professional studio monitoring and they are really crazy good...is it better one of these speakers?
what would you recommend for mixing and mastering of rock songs??? i'd aready spend alot on buying different studio monitors but none of them gave me response what i wanted. So what;s your opinion
What do you suggest between the Presonus Eris 5 and Tannoy Reveal 502 for my entry level home studio? I am waiting for an answer please, thank you!!!

Hi there! i just bought a pair of rokit8 from krk and a presonus audiobox itwo interface... How can i connect them? i need 2 xlr male (from rokits) to trs cables(to interface)? or just a pair of mono like instrument cables? PLEASE HELP
My room is about 9x12.3 ft large, and i've been wondering if it's too small for KRK Rokit RP8 G3 monitors? Would it be smarter to just buy a pair of KRK Rokit RP5 G3 instead?
Hey mate, great comparison vid! I'm thinking about getting the Presonus E8's but my room is very small, at first i was going to get the 5" but a guy told me to get the 8" because they're near field. If i treat my room would you still suggest me getting the e8's or downsize to the e5's? My studio is about W5ft L8ft. Thanks man
+knox hardly For first buy just get what you can afford. For me I rewired two Jensen JP1300's to fit RCA cables and had to buy a seperate 400w mixer. Still have yet to hear any studio monitor that produces a better bass response than the ones I built myself.
Good general overview of the newer speakers guys. Good video just like the old one. But its a shame you guys didn't include the new LSR300 lineup. I use a pair myself and they are hands down the best speakers in their price and even higher. Imaging tolerance is very impressive as well, better than its similar priced counter parts. Maybe make an overview of the LSR lineup if you can guys, that would be great for the viewers.
Krk Rp8 G3 ($532) vs Mackie Mr6 Mk3 ($443), they sell them to me (second hand of course), and I have to choose 1.. they are for my electribe 2 and guitar boss gt10 or gt100. Which one should I buy?
No, they are two different things. Studio monitors means they don't change the sound and give a true representation of your mix. An active speaker means it is self powered and has its own amp.
Marcus Corbridge Thank you sir! I produce music, but I have not bought monitors yet, and I dont want to buy the wrong sort. To be honest, they look a lot alike! haha
I don't think so. A rear firing woofer actually sounds a lot better when you put it up against the wall although you have to be careful not to get am exaggerated bass response from them but most rear firing sound much better back into a corner which makes the corner be like a bigger speaker box. The idea is to get the energy going towards you, not away. Front firing sounds better if there is no wall behind it because it is projecting the air and energy foward already and not depending on the reflection.
For hip hop recording and producing what would anyone recommended ? I heard people tell me Yamaha so I’m thinking of getting a pair of the hs7 but I didn’t know Adam had an entry level one...should I look into the cheaper Adams or go with Yamaha
looks like they've been sort of discontinued i recommened getting the 20/20 ive heard theyre so good and way better and truer to the sound than yamaha hs80 or anything thats $700 a pair www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/968561-REG/event_20_20_bas_v3_20_20bas_biamped_monitor_v3.html www.amazon.com/Event-20-Active-Nearfield-Monitor/dp/B005H6XKL8?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B005H6XKL8&linkCode=as2&linkId=UMTER6DNZERVO4NU&redirect=true&ref_=as_li_tl&tag=compurecorstu-20
Which will be the best pair of studio monitor for music production in a home studio which has minimum acoustic treatment ? Almost every kind of genre (65% EDM). Room size=12feet*9feet. My budget permits me the below options: M-Audio BX8 D2 JBL LSR 305 KRK Rokit5 G3 Tannoy Reveal 502 Presonus Eris E5 Yamaha HS5
hey guys i need an answer as urgent as possible...i was wondering on purchsing the jbl 305 but then my eyes saw the behringer 2031a so what should i do ? im looking for something which best represents my mixes
i have KRK5 Rokit G2 and i didnt get much bass...so should i buy me the KRK 8 to have good bass and sound or should i buy me a KRK10S bass to the KRK5 ???
thank you for your answer, i am producing EDM musik, so its for producing work. what would you prever KRK5 with Krk10s or KRK 8 Only...this is the choice i have
I'm struggling to decide on a pair of monitors, I think I've rounded down my options to the Yamaha HS7's, Adam F5's, and the JBL LSR 305's. Is there a winner out of the three of them?
Great video as usual... I watch your videos just to drool over the equipment if nothing else! Haha! Hope you do an update on the MIDI keyboard comparison video soon. Lots of new goodies being shown at NAMM 2014 from Akai, Behringer and Korg! Cheers!
charlie brownau You probably shouldn't decide on your purchase from a TH-cam sound test, because the sound differs by whatever room the monitors are playing in, quality of the microphone, and other variables. It's best to find production forums and ask the folk who have used several models and decide for yourself
Gene McBeats It was one of the hardest purchase's , does not help that audio gear is US$100 MORE in Australia , if I didnt get the HS8 I would of choose the JBL 305's
Gene McBeats It was one of the hardest purchase's , does not help that audio gear is US$100 MORE in Australia , if I didnt get the HS8 I would of choose the JBL 305's
about the KRK's 3rd gen., I would like to know your opinion on "6 vs. 8" thingy, because I'm probably going to buy either of these and couldn't decide yet :)
Kosmic Sound hmm, so basically it would be best to get them somehow to test them before buying, or at least as said in video to try them with some of my tracks in store side-by-side; thanks anyway, as you mentioned that bass vs mids thingy I guess I'll just have to hear it myself then :Đ
hey guys quick question, i own the Yamaha HS8 and they're amazing monitors. i just wanna know if i was to get another pair but different brand, could that still work fine? having two different kind of monitors ? or do they all need to be the same brand
I had three types and all sounded different. I used always the ones that showed me lower frequencies than others. I think you know why. because the kick never sounded good after doing the song on the others. if low end is muddy, you can hear it on a 8" monitors and you can cut from the 35 or so up to zero hertz, eq of course. also if bass synth or kick drum doesn't have punch, you can change it or add a few db in the 100 or 110 hz range. but with monitors that only show from 60 or 52 hz...it's impossible to have a clean, tight low frequencies song...the weight of the song is there. conclusion: if you buy 6" monitors, there is no use. I would always try to change volumes of instruments /tracks or even frequencies on small cheap pc speakers.the ones that everyone is listening. and some cheap headphones too. these cheap models will show you if the bass instrument does show or not in the mix. it may be clear on your big monitors, but not on small ones.this is when you boost a few db at 800 or 1 k on the bass synth. 4 maximum 5 could make a difference, you have to try, don't do exactly what other ppl say, cause you know better, you are there, they cannot hear your speakers... just take the idea, the trick. or you could even double your bass synth( if it doesn't make it on small speakers) with another bass that has higher frequencies. if you already know all these things. Sorry. I try to help, share what I've learned over the years. Cheers and happy composing, mixing, dreaming...
Hey mate, thanks a lot for your helpful videos ! Just one question about this video: Wich one would you go for to get real sound and "bang for bucks": The Adams f7 or the yamahas (8).... (I do electronic music) Thanks a lot in advance and keep it up with those videos !
And about JBL's lsr305? I would like to know about this one too. Many, many people said that is one of the best low pric monitors out there with the new Image Control Waveguide techonlogy of their top monitors...
They are targeted towards professionals and not toddlers that's why lol On a serious note, front cloth covers may reduce the top end clarity depending on the material. So many manufacturers decide not to use it at all. But some others always use them. Genelec for example attaches solid grills in front of the drive units.
It's a good question. It's certainly possible to achieve frequency neutrality with protective cover for the drivers. Dynamic range might be lowered by a dB compared to the exposed-driver configuration -- big deal. Saying that you MUST have exposed drivers to make speakers "pro" is BS.
Mhm i wonder where my reply disappeared to. I was basically saying that the mounting frame is a major sonic issue and i would have suggested other ways to design protection into the speaker instead of the typical snap-on.
Very pleased with the update! As usual clear and useful information and thanks for not being snobs and only review high-end equipment.
Please update the other comparison video's too (when relevant).
One could say this was really a "comb-over" more so than a comparison.
Hahahaha
greasy comb over
cheap.
so..again started with the cheapest ones? Or the "bad" ones? i own a pair of 6inch krk's and i love them.
What about Genelec monitors?
This guy loves everything.
great reviews, i just wanted to know your opinion on the dyn-audio bm5a mkii and the dbm-50, are they good for electronic music production?
Is it time for another update? :) I'd love to see a comparison of the 4-5 inch range.
this guy knows a lot about studio gear, good video like always!
Very nice video ! Any idea what's good for orchestral film scoring?
Independently from watching this video, I had chosen to opt for PreSonus E8 as my very first speakers for working at home. You should do a comparison between focal, genelec, dynaudio etc. monitors. And a sound test would be awesome!
What about the Pioneer S-DJ05 and S-DJ08 ? Would you be able to do a separate video on that ?
Are the Adam F5s good for mixing ?
these do not provide any information that is useful. I can get all that from a catalog or the net. How about some audio tests between all the models??
Kosmic With all due respect...
I'm sorry, but I agree with Bryan Dunn, and will even go further to say that this video has largely been a waste of time.

very satisfied with the Yamaha HS8s over here
same here
you wont regret it my HS8s translate so well, no more using headphones and stereo speakers trying to guess how it will translate
I engineer and mix for metal bands and make rap with occasional EDM
I'm in a small room with the HS7s... Same story re; mix translation for hiphop.
Need help choosing a good monutot and speaker deciding if jbl would even be worth getting towards these mainly using for rap using and home recording
Yes JBLs live up to the hype. Read some reviews in sweetwater or anywhere, you'll see.
Kay man and thank for the help appreciate it :-)

what do you think about jbl monitors? Thanks
can you tell me which one of those speakers are the best between yamaha hs8
or krk10
Thanks for the video kosmic! Great info. The KRK Rockits are probably what I will go for for my small home studio.
A good amount to save up for monitors for beginners ? and what type :)?
Listened to all of them at my nearest music store...came home with the Rokit RP8 G3's.....nuff said!
What are types of speakers? Those big speakers in a meeting or public live event what are they?
Those are PA speakers. Made for high SPL
SPL?
Sound Pressure Level. Good for loud volume
Okay thanks, I am new to recording and studio things sorry for many queries!
No problem dude:)
Hello kosmic! can u do a review about the new behringer nekkst series? K5 K6 & K8? whats the good and bad about it..
hello i know this is off topic but is there any good computer speakers you would reccomend and not on a recording side just for every day music listener?

Is it ok to use just one monitor? I want to use it for guitar on my pc.

Cheers :)
Kosmic
When I actually decided to put monitors in my home for critical listening, I was surprised at how well they benefited other entertainment mediums in the nearfield.
Kosmic and the other question, a KRK 5 inches would be suitable for my room ?
What you think about M-Audio bx series ¿
Hello Leonard, any chance You could give me some insight about a pair of monitors for 200 bucks. i am thinking M-Audio BX8 D2 but I know nothing concerning quality.
Thanks for your videos and insights.
What about the transient and frequency response of those monitors? Do you know which one have the most flat response?
Grate video by the way. :)
hi I was planning to buy one of these for rear monitoring (music production) in a home studio but because I have a really good amp, I opt to buy instead the jbl CONTROL 1xtreme (passive speakers), in the spec manual sheet they claim to be for professional studio monitoring and they are really crazy good...is it better one of these speakers?
what would you recommend for mixing and mastering of rock songs??? i'd aready spend alot on buying different studio monitors but none of them gave me response what i wanted.
PLEASE HELP
What about Mackie monitors?
My room is about 9x12.3 ft large, and i've been wondering if it's too small for KRK Rokit RP8 G3 monitors? Would it be smarter to just buy a pair of KRK Rokit RP5 G3 instead?
sir, have you ever hear about Monitor Speaker "Ds Acoustic Ds5"..?
Hey mate, great comparison vid! I'm thinking about getting the Presonus E8's but my room is very small, at first i was going to get the 5" but a guy told me to get the 8" because they're near field. If i treat my room would you still suggest me getting the e8's or downsize to the e5's? My studio is about W5ft L8ft. Thanks man
COULD YOU PLEASE DO AN UPDATED ONE FOR AUDIO INTERFACES TOO - INCLUDING PRISM LYRA, TITAN, UA Apollo 16 etc.
Thanks!
Yoo, what's the Beringer's speaker name?
How about Fender Passport Studio?
Kosmic would you recommend the ( KRK Rokit RP8 G3 ) as a first buy speakers? for a home studio.
Kosmic ok. thank you, much appreciated
+knox hardly For first buy just get what you can afford.
For me I rewired two Jensen JP1300's to fit RCA cables and had to buy a seperate 400w mixer. Still have yet to hear any studio monitor that produces a better bass response than the ones I built myself.
***** little bit late mate, already got them. they ACE ! - KH
haha. I would have loved to have studio monitors as my first gear! too bad they weren't as easy to obtain back when I first started :/
+Xero I feel blessed :) you a music producer too?
You didn't write or mention the model numbers
Is studio monitors and active speakers the same thing?
No, they are two different things. Studio monitors means they don't change the sound and give a true representation of your mix. An active speaker means it is self powered and has its own amp.
Marcus Corbridge Thank you sir! I produce music, but I have not bought monitors yet, and I dont want to buy the wrong sort. To be honest, they look a lot alike! haha
thanks for the update video! You guys should do a studio subwoofer comparison
Hello kosmic, im a beatboxer ans i wonder which is the best sepakers that suits my type, thanks!
Pere Vilalta I think your mouth is the best speaker.
If my speakers are right near a wall would a front bass port be better?
Yes
I don't think so. A rear firing woofer actually sounds a lot better when you put it up against the wall although you have to be careful not to get am exaggerated bass response from them but most rear firing sound much better back into a corner which makes the corner be like a bigger speaker box. The idea is to get the energy going towards you, not away. Front firing sounds better if there is no wall behind it because it is projecting the air and energy foward already and not depending on the reflection.
***** Cool thanks for the info as long as the bass isn't muddy because of the close distance to a wall then I would not be to bothered
Most monitors have a low frequency adjustment just for this type of room tuning.
For hip hop recording and producing what would anyone recommended ? I heard people tell me Yamaha so I’m thinking of getting a pair of the hs7 but I didn’t know Adam had an entry level one...should I look into the cheaper Adams or go with Yamaha
Krk.
Where can I pick up a pair of event 2030 monitors???
looks like they've been sort of discontinued i recommened getting the 20/20 ive heard theyre so good and way better and truer to the sound than yamaha hs80 or anything thats $700 a pair

Which will be the best pair of studio monitor for music production in a home studio which has minimum acoustic treatment ? Almost every kind of genre (65% EDM). Room size=12feet*9feet. My budget permits me the below options:

Tannoy Reveal 502
Presonus Eris E5

I'm struggling to decide on a pair of monitors, I think I've rounded down my options to the Yamaha HS7's, Adam F5's, and the JBL LSR 305's. Is there a winner out of the three of them?
Yeah, Focal's
HELP! whats the better choice between the krk g3 rockit, yamaha hs, and presonus models. I am into all genres of production mostly hiphop/R&B
Ggg
Out of these 3 choice, definitely go for HS8 (700usd) if you can. If they are out of your range then go for JBL lsr308 pair (500usd).
KRK Rokit 10-3 or Yamaha HS8?! For Producing Dubstep/Glitch Hop/EDM aka Electronic dance music...etc....
Great video as usual... I watch your videos just to drool over the equipment if nothing else! Haha! Hope you do an update on the MIDI keyboard comparison video soon. Lots of new goodies being shown at NAMM 2014 from Akai, Behringer and Korg! Cheers!
please do a video on the m audio m3 series
Please create an 2015 edition of this video with SOUND TEST and pricing information
charlie brownau You probably shouldn't decide on your purchase from a TH-cam sound test, because the sound differs by whatever room the monitors are playing in, quality of the microphone, and other variables.
It's best to find production forums and ask the folk who have used several models and decide for yourself
Gene McBeats Gday I ended up scoring an ex display (4 months old) Yamaha HS8 pair for AUD$504 (currently sold for AUD$798 NEW)
Gene McBeats It was one of the hardest purchase's , does not help that audio gear is US$100 MORE in Australia , if I didnt get the HS8 I would of choose the JBL 305's

The HS7 is actually made with a 6.5(in) driver, not 7 - still sounds great though!
can you review genelec's ??
Which is the best to produce Drum&bass tracks? Adam F5 - Yahama HS5 - Krk rockit 6 G3 - RCF Ayra5 ?
about the KRK's 3rd gen., I would like to know your opinion on "6 vs.
Cheers and happy composing, mixing, dreaming...
this was a very insightful comment. Thanks!
Hey mate,
thanks a lot for your helpful videos ! Just one question about this video:
Wich one would you go for to get real sound and "bang for bucks":
The Adams f7 or the yamahas (8).... (I do electronic music)
Thanks a lot in advance and keep it up with those videos !
what's better hs5's or equator d5?
And about JBL's lsr305? I would like to know about this one too. Many, many people said that is one of the best low pric monitors out there with the new Image Control Waveguide techonlogy of their top monitors...
Why don't any monitors come with a nylon front cover?
They are targeted towards professionals and not toddlers that's why lol On a serious note, front cloth covers may reduce the top end clarity depending on the material. So many manufacturers decide not to use it at all. But some others always use them. Genelec for example attaches solid grills in front of the drive units.
ADZCreations An optional coarse grille would not affect top end clarity, and even a fabric cover would not affect the woofer. Accidents do happen.
What is ear fatigue?
