As a Mexican, all I can say is that there is a reason why Taco Bell has failed to expand into Mexico. I would consider the food at Taco Bell to be more Texas than Mexican.

    Hello everyone,
So I was born and raised in California and have been in California all my life. I absolutely love Mexican food. Of course being California I love so many different world foods because we have access to everything.
Taco Bell and let's be honest any fast food is not American food or anything. It is all just fast food which is its own category. As far as Mexican food I have had classic grandma made Mexican food, amazing restaurant made food, and fast versions of Mexican food. Taco Bell is not Mexican food. It is Mexican style fast food.
In America most people like fast food but we know it is nothing like where the food is supposed to be from. We also know that there is way better food out there. But it's fast food so yeah fast food.
I honestly feel bad for some of you trying "American Food" for the first time and it's fast food. Because we have so much better food out there. However when I am sick for some reason I crave either taco bell or McDonald's probably because the kid in me when I am sick takes over.

I'm not surprised they failed in Mexico though since it's literally the home of what Taco Bell tries to be. Mexicans didn't see Taco Bell as Mexican food, which they can easily make better at home for cheaper, but as a bastardized, Americanized version of Mexican food. For example, I doubt Panda Express would do well in China. Just like how Domino's tanked in Italy to the point where they completely closed in 2022.

My god, In Taco Bell USA they use a lot of plastic for everything, GOD it was all plastic cup, lid, straw, bags, dips container 😳, while in India it was paper cup, paper lid, paper straw, paper bags , why USA don't have a law to reduce plastic waste, when they know they are the biggest plastic waste producer 🙄 😑😑

Indian Taco Bell has a lot of vegan options which I think we need to adapt more of. We have vegan options here in the US but I think we need absolutely more. I feel like we could phase out beef but I don't think people would love that. I love chicken and veggies more. Is this controversial Joe. Nikhil is so funny 😂 love you man.

I think both countries could benefit from some ground turkey tacos. It's healthier, Plus it adds more variety to the menu. When I used to live in an area near Del Taco, I used to get turkey tacos all the time, as well as fish tacos. I wonder why they haven't thought of that yet
