This was a really good video, the only problem is that the dnb colleges that uve spoken abt never come upto 5k rank. They finish between 700-2k..people with 5k rank are usually stranded between taking up radiology in private colleges in their own states or the mediocre dnb hospitals.
Actually cutoffs went really high this time. By 3rd/Stray round - people used to fet by 3k in good and 5K in average DNB institutes. Another big advantage of DNB is no bond.

Sometimes someone gets a seat in mopup round but that's a different story. Sir I am confused how to go about it? Should I fill other dnb colleges also? Or restrict myself to these colleges, hope for a good seat..and if I don't get one prepare again?
Hi, Max Saket and Apollo went till 4K. Also, you have to wait till 2nd round Atleast. We just touched upon the best 10 colleges . There are other too which are good - eg - Stephens/Army R and R which we didn’t mention.

Radiology packages will be almost equivalent to pathology within the next three years, so choose wisely.. you are hardly paid 209-300 RS per MRI report these days and the packages are only gonna fall in the next few years..
Yes. And OBGYNs are doing csec for 5k and surgeons cholecystectomies for 5k. Your point being? There is dearth of radiologists. Soon medicolegal will be a huge thing and technician reports will just not do. And let me know which radiologist is doing MRI for 300 rupees.
They charge 5k-6k in my small town . Where the rest of the money going then? Almost 30 + patent comes every day, . Mri machine cost =5cr. Small hospital cost =1cr . 1 year 300days*30patent*5k=4.5cr. So within 2.5 y max whole investment is covered . Now u r making 4.5cr/year== 2-3 radiologist == almost 1.7cr/year easily. Only with mri + xray + ct machine. Easily can be made 1.75cr per year and patent also get diagnosis in small towns. And also entry barrier is pretty high u r not gonna be in high competition 1. Money required = 10 cr 4 radiologists + loan + investors U r gd to go partnership buisness in radiology is 1cr/year and living cost very low.
@@Joker-2357 30-40percent will go into cuts for referring doctors, its very hard to get more than 15 patients even after paying these cuts. But may be things are different in heavily populated states.

If you dreamt of taking radiology, go for it. If you are confused between taking medicine and radio because of your rank, take medicine. This is a mistake done by many. They take up radio because of the rank, and then regret not taking medicine. Make up your mind. Radio gets more hectic as you go towards final year cause you have to take up more responsibilities. In medicine, your life gets easier as Junior pgs join the college. Even salary wise, in Radio, you are limited by the tech around you. In Medicine, the steth is your main instrument. Jaha bi ho, table aur kursi laga lo and you are ready. Ultimately, it's upto you. Look at the long term outcome. You can have a 9-5 lifestyle after doing MD Medicine as well. Thats totally upto you.
I think radiology is more or less non clinical branch...these people generally forget the dose of commonly used drugs after few years... common people think they are just technologists ...so after 10 yrs of hard studies people think you are mere a technologists and you can't even treat common ailments(unless you practice as GP) That's why Dermatology is THE bestest branch ...gives both pt patients interaction and work life balance😄
I chose derma over radio during internship, and found that people don't respect you as a doctor. They talk to you like they talk to their stylist, and moreover chronic conditions do not heal and patients get frustrated over it and you will be writing a long list of medicines. Very difficult especially if you are a man.
