If I could write this story, I’d make it a short film about a group of fishermen taking an InGen scientist out on the Lock to help check to see if a mysterious animal that has appeared is a Genetic Clone or an unidentified new species. Over the course of the short film, they’d run into the Plesiosaurus a few times and get attacked. The scientist gets their sample of the beast but needs to be saved by the fishermen. The scientist would, close to the end of the film, find out that the Plesiosaurus is indeed a Clone (by checking its genetic markers), but they’d overhear/learn that Scotland doesn’t have rights for Cloned animals, so if the Plesiosaurus turns out to be a Clone, then the fishermen have permission to kill it. So the scientist lies and tells the officials that the animal wasn’t artificially created. The film would end with someone confronting the scientist on how, since the beast won’t be killed it will most likely kill other people before humans learn how to properly avoid it. The scientist will remark that even though they respect the fishermen (those fishermen having saved the scientist’s life) they will not trade the life of an animal that is the only one of their kind, and who didn’t ask to be made, for the lives of people who “can just go find another lake to fish in.” The film would end with this “interpret it as you see fit” kind of ending. Where its up to the audience to judge the scientist on whether he/she was right to withhold the information that this one animal was Cloned, when others will likely die as a result. Asking viewers to ask whether the life of this one animal who’s alone on this earth, is worth the lives of those it will surely kill if it isn’t removed.

I got this piece of info from someone on Twitter back in April 2022; Dominion was going to feature two Elasmosaurs in Malta, but they both got cut from the film. They were removed because Avatar 2 and the Meg 2 will include Plesiosaurus-like creatures. Avatar 2 is out and it has a Plesiosaurus-like creature so that means the source was legit.
I once theorized that the Plesiosaurus would show up in Loch Ness Scotland in Jurassic World Dominion, and I can't believe that almost happened. I hope we see a scene like that in Jurassic World 4 (if they ever make that film).
I actually think Jurassic Park the game does a lot to strengthen cannon. I assumed that a plesiosaur would appear in a mountain lake where a pyroraptor attacked. Probably if the pyroraptor almost got them, a plesiosaur would appear and get the pyro. I would certainly like it more than what they showed in the movie (even if the pyro died)
Most likely, the plesiosaur was after their fish; plesiosaurs eat fish so that humans wouldn't be on the menu; if it were a mother and her calf, she would be protecting her calf since they can only give birth to one or two at a time from what I've heard. It would be the Elasmosaurs that would probably attack humans. Though again, they are fish eaters too. And the only way into the Loch would be from the Inverness river, which connects to Moray Firth and the North Sea. I don't think that Loch Ness would fit a small group of Elasmosaurs, plesiosaurs, yes. My idea of Loch Ness is that it is a birthing ground; the plesiosaur pod, maybe 15-30 individuals, would migrate to the loch to birth their young, then swim back out to the North Sea with their young. Imagine if hte Plesio was being hyped up as a dangerous predator the people narrowly escape but then they are in a corner situation only for hte Plesio to see the people like they are smaller plesio and offer them fish. Like that Leopard seal who offered an arctic kayaker with a penguin.

I do know a 3d model was made indicating it made it past scripting, and a scene was shot in Malta where bypasses were to look over a bridge into the river to see a boat flipped during the atroci chase. I do also remember there being 2, orca and nessie
For those wondering, the 3D model was given to the Jurassic world miniature game, where the plesiosaurus was under embargo. JWE2 fans will also know what the plesios design would've been like since it's near identical to what the "frontier" design is
I have been theorizing b3fore domin8on came out that there would be a scene with Jeremy wades doing a documentary, looking fora river monster(mososaurus) and then their boat gets attacked by the mososauruz.
Since/because mosquitos cannot go underwater, DNAs of full underwater ones (like fish and whales as they cannot move and survive on land) were like impossible or rare. Mosquitos could only suck blood from land and air ones.
Going to rewatch it but i have no doubt they cud have made it better. Out of all Jurassic park film's the 1st one is my favourite as i got it vhs as it cane out still have it
The funny thing about the whole Jurassic Park concept is that the large Sauropods and Theropods would suffocate on a 21st Century Earth. There was 50% more oxygen in the atmosphere 80 million years ago. That is an important reason why they can’t bring them back. We’re stuck with the avian dinos to share our world with.
I don't think this would have fit with Dominion. As it is we got too many scenes of random dino attacks that have nothing to do with anything and only last a few seconds. As for aquatic dinosaurs there was the one from the 4th film and the scene in 3 with the spino attacking everyone on the boat. Which is terrifying and really well done IMO.
Imagine if they took a jab at the myth of the Loch Ness Monster and had it so that modern sightings of “Nessie” was actually just some random plesiosaur that somehow keeps escaping from the park and always ends up in Scotland. Just imagine the infinite dialogue potential it could have. “Hey, I think we’re missing one plesiosaur.” [Mumbling] “Of course Artemis got her tail out again.”
Would have been cool if they had introduced the Plesiosaurus only to have a second one appear later on in the Loch with the scientists proclaiming we only made one
I keep saying that they need to make a spin-off series that deals with nothing but marine reptiles. Maybe a park that tried to bank off that novelty and eco terrorists set all of the animals free into the ocean. I would have called it Jurassic SEA World, but I'm aware of how cheesy that is.
Why did they deleted this dinosaur the mosasaurus is the only marine reptile we ever got in this franchise aswell the suchomimus the mamenchisaurus ,spinosaurus and toro were cut from this movie
It probably would have just been one of the news stories at the very beginning about the dinosaurs like we saw in the extended cut with the trex at the campsite.
Okay they seriously need to redo Jurassic Park The Game so they can make it cannon, keep the same old creatures and characters in it. I'd love to see it and honestly keep the graphics, I liked them.
I disagree that it would have been out of place....indeed, I thought we were going to get flash scenes from around the world, reaffirming that the dino's were everywhere. Instead, all we got were three locations, with the rest of the world off the dino-tracker website. This was most disappointing and verynmuch mirrors what happened with Alien: Covenant....the viral marketing had all the tease-shots with far less alien action in the movie (bait-and-switch). There were so many plot-holes I couldn't write them all down. Trevorrow was so focused on cramming as many dino's in that he forgot to include a story. Beta's whole existence seems to be give Dr. Wu a redemption arc. Is Maisie really going to go back to live in a cabin being that the entire world is still searching for her? I could go on, and on....
I still wonder what happened to that surfer at the end of Jurassic World who didn't notice the mosasaur swimming up behind him. Maybe it just wanted to play?

Since/because mosquitos cannot go underwater, DNAs of full underwater ones (like fish and whales as they cannot move and survive on land) were like impossible or rare. Mosquitos could only suck blood from land and air ones.
As a big fan of the films i would have liked them to take a little more time on the film to add a little extra on it.
“Hey, I think we’re missing one plesiosaur.”
[Mumbling] “Of course Artemis got her tail out again.”
I actually got a Jurassic evolution ad on this video.
It would've been nice to see another extinct Water Creature to appear in the movie besides the Mosasaur.
They might put it in the next trilogy 🤞
The plesiosaurs were supposed to make it since the 1st Jurassic World movie. It’s a shame it never made it at all
Loch Ness is the most famous, but there are North American counterparts. Ogopogo in Canada and Champ in Lake Champlain so they could have done that.
As once a man said more dinosaur is always better.
Missed opportunity to have one swimming in Loch ness
Swrve:mosasaurus is the only aquatic animal in the jurassic series nothosaurus:am I a joke to you?
Would have been cool if they had introduced the Plesiosaurus only to have a second one appear later on in the Loch with the scientists proclaiming we only made one
The mosasaur could be it own jurassic spin off movie kinda like jaws or meg.
I keep saying that they need to make a spin-off series that deals with nothing but marine reptiles. Maybe a park that tried to bank off that novelty and eco terrorists set all of the animals free into the ocean. I would have called it Jurassic SEA World, but I'm aware of how cheesy that is.
Hi swrve I watched camp cretaous (sorry if I spelt that wrong) because of you 👍
Why did they deleted this dinosaur the mosasaurus is the only marine reptile we ever got in this franchise aswell the suchomimus the mamenchisaurus ,spinosaurus and toro were cut from this movie
I had a theory about this
Would have been an awesome stand alone like battle at big rock. Let it be a 5-10 min segment
I hate it when they keep cutting out awesome and cool species ffs
He survived I think
but why did the locness monster not make it in jurassic world evolution and camp cretaceaus ?
Plesiosaurs we’re my favorite dinosaur as a child.
