Who & what is JJ Extra?
We’re Josh & Jason, a British couple with a passion for everything travel & food (and lots of coffee). Whether at home in the UK or on our international travels we seek out everything from hidden gems to bucket list destinations, trying new foods and unique drinks wherever we go.
After meeting in early 2019 with dreams of travelling the World together we were all plunged in to the chaos of a global pandemic. Now, as we move in to the future we are making up for lost time and ensuring every day turns in to an adventure, fuelled by our love of food and an unhealthy (but enjoyable) addiction to coffee.
Over the last 2 years we have explored our beautiful home country like never before and in 2022 we were lucky enough to start travelling abroad once more and our dream to travel the world together has been reignited.
We love an adventure and in 2023 we are challenging ourselves to step out of our comfort zones & push ourselves to the limit as we take on bigger adventures than ever before, visit new places & try new experiences. So come along and join the adventure, you never know where it might lead!

I guess I will sound like I'm from Nashville, and I am. You guys make it easier for all of us. I imagine you are married? And, you are regular MEN, not swishing around, etc. Swishing is fine if one wants to swish! But, unfortunately, guys like us become lumped in with the guys who are more concerned about shoes, hair and brunch than a brew. I thank you! Really enjoying your videos, and I am going to England in September-Bath, Devon and London. My beloved, late husband was an Austrian cop, and he would like you as well. Now...we are about the same age. Next time you do this trip may I sleep between you?! Bahahahahahaha! Thanks, Joey
Oh spooky time! Whilst I have lived in places of distances of between 5 and 12 miles towards Greenwich and know the place really well (fond memories of school trips to the Cutty Sark, the Maritime Museum, the Observatory and the park itself) ….I have never, since it was first installed in 1999, been to the Millennium Dome/O2 ! Husband and adult sons have been to concerts there at least seven times but not me…have been IN there now though, and whilst I still think it is blimming ugly to look at, the building itself is a civil engineering masterpiece 🙂
Now, it was only Tuesday last week, as a treat we all went on the Greenwich IFS Cloud cable car to go TO the O2 and I did see that big white yacht parked up in the Dock! I commented to husband that maybe it belonged to some rich person and it was parked there before the owner (Elon Musk? 😂) and the crew sailed down to Tilbury and off on a big ocean adventure - I had no idea it was a Ship Hotel!
It looked very grand inside and had a bit more room than you did on your narrow boat! 😄 and TWO gratis bottles of water in the fridge! My idea of a perfect room.
The scenery of London at night from the cable car - we are going to do that now, as it looked fab - I love to see all of the bridges when they are illuminated at night - I would love to go on a Thames Clipper to see them from the river, makes London look even more wonderful!

Hi Mark, it was £168 for the night so as far as central London hotels go it really wasn’t that bad at all!
That cruise ship looked lovely, I loved all the wood and glass. The bed looked real comfy, probably a king size. You both looked great in your robes and flip flops! That would be lovely for an anniversary or birthday evening!
