Glad to see I'm not the only one needing ALEVE to get through my projects. Lol. Beautiful!!
Jessica Atkinson lol and thanks
Fabulous cake Lorelie once again!! I chuckled when I saw the Aleve bottle on the counter because we all know the stress related to some cakes!!!!
OMG too funny. I saw it as I was editing and I was like. Oh man i should have taken that Alleve out of the scene. But YES to the STRESS that cake decorating can sometimes cause us. LOL. Thanks Michele xo💞
Very pretty, love the colors you choose!!!
Thank you Jan 😊

Wedding Cakes for You can you do a video on the different tastes in depth, textures of butter cream? I love this cake!!!
Hi Rebecca. Thank you. I have an in depth course now on mastering buttercream. There are so many questions and fears around it. I simplify it all in this course. cakes-with-lorelie.teachable.com/
@@CakesWithLorelie thank you!
I really love this design! Very pretty. ❤
Thanks so much Michele. Are you going to give one a try? I loved your Dragon cake. I saw it on Instagram/. I'll be checking out the video later today!
@@CakesWithLorelie I really want to try it, but I haven't had an occasion where it would appropriate yet. Soon. I think it looks cool. 😊
careful with the dragees though. I would actually not recommend the hard candies anymore on a cake. A friend busted a tooth :-( They can be scraped off too though. They are pretty.
@@CakesWithLorelie oh wow! That's a little scary!
Yes it is. I think a healthy tooth biting down on one would not break so easily. He needed to go to the dentist and deal with this tooth anyway LOL. But regardless. I won't be using them on a customer cake (or a friends in the future)
You are always fascinating me with your imagination dear I like your work.
Thank you so much. These cakes are fun. I can think of many more ideas for the centers (fault line) and am looking forward to trying them out and sharing them with you. 💞
@@CakesWithLorelie we'll be so glad dear. Thank you so much

I would LOVE to do some vintage cakes. Next week I'm doing a doll cake. Possibly the following week I can do a vintage style cake.
Very helpful your tutorial thanks 🤗 and beutiful cake
Thank you so much YETRA xo
WowWOwWOW beautiful, I am new in the world of cakes I would love to make this. However, I'm not sure what size cake I need to make for 25 portions. Also ĺ Was wondering can you do this cake with Rosebuds instead. I appreciate your advice 😊
Thank you! For 25 portions a 9 inch would suffice. This is a 6 inch. Sure you can do Rosebuds. You can be very creative with cakes like this. Anything goes.
My cakes are three layers.
Wonderful work¡¡¡¡¡
Thanks Octavio xo
I love it! 👏🎂🍰❣🎀💓💐
🎉 Thank you xo
Omg y so bountiful
Thanks Iris :-)

So BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I have a question....After you applied your buttercream frozen decorations to the cake, When they thaw, do they fall off the cake? Can this cake transport without those decorations falling off? Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations!!!
They are VERY precarious. Ok so the one at the top edge did melt and fall off while I was photographing the cake. I replaced it with a buttercream flower. The ones on the bottom and sides are pretty safe. I don't think they would just fall of. But if you have some, as I did, at the top edge with no support they will most likely fall off.
Hii. Lovely cake.. thanks for sharing.
🤩🤩🤩🤩
This gold dust which you used for painting the edges.... is it edible..? Please advice..
Pastry Ideale is the brand and here is the link to it in my Amazon Shop. Thanks Rehana. The labels have changed regarding the edible gold. It is non toxic. I researched and they say that gold will not absorb into the body, however you should avoid eating it as it does taste like metal. We simply scrape it off. If you have clients who want gold on their cakes I would ask them to do the same. www.amazon.com/shop/wedding_cakes_for_you?listId=3Q6U6R2R3COP6 Its very pretty and shiny and a little goes a long way.
Beautiful!!!!! Xoxo 😘
Thanks Mark
Belíssimo
Thank you!
As I want to purchase that gold dust.
Awaiting your reply soon.
Thank you..❣
Mix the gold dust with vodka or clear extract to the desired thickness. www.amazon.com/shop/wedding_cakes_for_you?listId=3Q6U6R2R3COP6
@@CakesWithLorelie I want to purchase.. but it's written it's not edible.. so I was worried.. plzz guide..
@@rehanaraza5018 I'm currently researching another brand. Look for one that has 22-24 carats of gold in it. That is the key. If it has copper in the ingredients don't purchase. In the meantime you can use this on display pieces (which this particular cake was) Gold will not hurt you if you eat it as it passes right through without being absorbed. Its the other ingredients that, if added, may cause a problem.
@@CakesWithLorelie ok. Thank u so much. Really appreciate. ❣❣❣ be blessed..
Can we use whipped cream for a frosting Fault line cake ?
yes but you wouldnt be able to paint the edges of the whipped cream with gold.
@@CakesWithLorelie ok , tysm 🥰
Lindo
Thank you Nira xoxo
Can I make 8" cake for this? Thank you.
Yes you sure can. You can do any size cake.
@@CakesWithLorelie thanks! 😊
This cake is just great Lorelie! I am going to make one this week and I will post when its done. Quick question, when you put the gold on the outline of the fault line was it cold? And which gold did you use. Just beautiful as always!
Thank you Beth. Can't wait to see your version. Yes the buttercream is cold when you add the gold. I used the Idealle brand. its in my Amazon shop. The only thing i would say about it is it's not toxic, it says inedible on the label (a recent change) I would encourage you to scrape that part off before eating. It does taste like metal.
How she didn’t include those Advil’s in the sprinkle mix 😁
THAT is Hilarious!!!! LOLOL
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks Mig 💋

Trends are so boring. You’ve seen one cake, you’ve seen them all.
That can be true for sure...But on a more positive note, it's interesting to see what people come up with for the centers. You can get very creative with these. Not to mention TH-cam rewards these "trends" with lots of views.
🙂
