He overpowered its grip since it was coiled around the world and for comparison: a 1.135 metric ton Titano Boa could exert a force up to 3 Eiffel Towers on top of you (that's 10 100 metric tons each). Scaling thw grip strength of a Titanoboa to that if a Midgard Serpent, Thor must have needed to exert a force of up to some hundred Septillions of newtons so that lifting feat is easily in the dozen Septillion tons range. And don't forget that he had a bad posture aswell so he needed to exert even more force than that, it may even be in the Octillion ton range then. And that's not even his strongest feat.

I always get annoyed whenever someone misinterprets the Midgard Serpent feat. Thor didn't just lift it. He overpowered its grip since it was coiled around the world and for comparison: a 1.135 metric ton Titano Boa could exert a force up to 3 Eiffel Towers on top of you (that's 10 100 metric tons each). Scaling thw grip strength of a Titanoboa to that if a Midgard Serpent, Thor must have needed to exert a force of up to some hundred Septillions of newtons so that lifting feat is easily in the dozen Septillion tons range. And don't forget that he had a bad posture aswell so he needed to exert even more force than that, it may even be in the Octillion ton range then. And that's not even his strongest feat.

Wonder Woman never 'overpowered' superman in terms of strength. All she did was beat him through skill. Superman is second to none in the entire team of justice league when it comes to raw strength.
