Thanks for sharing this! I remember all these guys. It was good hearing Bill Clem announcing. He was the first announcer I remember from when I was a kid.
I think it's pretty awesome that you managed to keep all of your pulling tractors. It would be cool if you were able to get Buckshot back out again. Along with that twin turbo 454 Chevy.
I remember those times in MI! Ionia County free fair always had some great pulls in August 10 minutes away, even brought some trucks and pro tractors. Now you have to look hard for a farm stock or modified pull within an hour or so. And usually not a great turnout or field of owner/operators.
Great videos, Bill! Didn't Thurmond Munson come from MD? He was a strong puller when he came down to VA, but I can't remember what he named his Red tractor. 🤔
@so.md.dirtfarmer2226 Thanks! I appreciate the correction, I really thought he was one of you MD fellas! My bad. He ALMOST made me a fan of them red tractors, because he made everyone else nervous when he hooked up! 👍👍
Hey John! Our pulling club, the Southern Maryland Pullers, had a video camera we all could play with and we all got a copy of the tape of the pulls. Sorry, not familiar with Twin Creeks.
@@so.md.dirtfarmer2226 My mom had me looking at an old book on our home village. There was a 1984 Twin Creeks Nationals where it was voted 4th out of 89 pulls from across North America. It was in a natural ravine. The pullers with multiple car engines were so loud we would hear it at our house about four miles away. We weren’t allowed to go as it was on Sunday. We had to stay in our Sunday best and not carouse. Wish I could show you a picture in the article. IH were big too at these pulls.
Love the old videos , keep them coming. Stay warm Bill !!!
Appreciate the old videos and commentary of the behind the scenes. Thanks, Bill. Back before everything was run on the Dyno and proven out.
The old pulling footage is great especially to see the evaluation of the sleds like the Rebel Sled and Blue Stinger before they had cabs on them.

What awesome cool Video Bill, you was setting in high cotton back then, God Bless
I was at a few of those pulls of course i was like 6. Crazy to see the mechanical bull of Thurmond Munford. He still pulls that tractor.
Very Cool!
Nobody could call a pull like Bill Clem!
Those were the days
Tom Bear always put on a good show at the Buck even though i didnt like the red ones.
What kind of prize money did they pay back in the day?
$400 for first.
Could you do a video explaining some of the differences between pro stock and super stock back then
Hoope to see the ole girl running again
Did you build your own oil pan for the tractor? It looks fairly larger than stock.
good deal
Nice video I enjoyed it. I love seeing the black smoke and the Turbo whine.

He was from Zuni, Va. His tractor, the Mechanical Bull.

How did you have the foresight to videotape all of this?
Also, did you ever hear of Twin Creeks in Shetland, ON Canada?

@@so.md.dirtfarmer2226 Thanks for the answer as well. I was just surprised you had this wealth of videos from 40 years ago.
