Dan is a top tier vocalist, but after seeing EE twice now with Travis (and enjoying his other work), I knew they were in good hands with him. However, this song absolutely destroyed those expectations. This isn't just great work, it's one of their best tracks they've ever released. And that's after their best album just dropped 6 months ago. Didn't think I'd be this excited about EE all over again so quickly. Can't wait for more.

Those "cleans" as you might call them, are VERY reminiscent of Travis Ryan and I'm ABOUT IT.
I'm a new CatDecap fan (last 3 albums really) and I've always been impressed with his "cleans" then I saw that one video clip of him being like "ya'll got shit in your ears? those aren't cleans"

@@ryang3225 absolutely. much stronger than Death Atlas imo. I love Death Atlas, but all of the interludes and transitions make it too disjointed. I just have a playlist with only 3/4ths of the songs.
Unfortunately, he only does that sparingly (this song and The Reaper's Servant but to an extent) but that doesn't mean his style is limited. He's very versatile vocalwise (Casket Of Rust and Blood & Teeth are prime examples).

Dan has a band called "Mire Lore". He does both cleans and dirty vocals. Some call it "Blackend Deathcore", but I just call it good music.

That last breakdown was straight up DeadVectors/Sentinels vibes and I loved it. Would have loved to hear more of those style of vocals throughout the rest of the song. I was a bit worried about losing Dan but this is a good fit for the new direction of the band.

@@Aoichanpiano You're comparing a TH-camr to a musician. Bands are not TH-camrs. You aren't raking in thousands from stuff like this when you're a part of a band- even at a size like this, people still get side jobs or at the very least, part-time gigs that are flexible with tour schedules.
TH-camrs will consistently upload, network with other creators, and even do livestreams on places like Twitch and earn extra income from that. Bands like this are not doing that, they upload music to their channels and leave it at that, maybe a couple extra but they aren't consistenly uploading and doing new things to keep up with the changing algorithim.
You can't compare the two, when they're objectively different.
Originally heard of Enterprise Earth because I'm a fan of IA and wanted to follow more of Dan Watson's work. Sad he's gone but if Travis keeps slinging songs like this I will not be too sad about it. This slaps! Gabe Is so sick with the guitar on every song, super underrated talent here!

Whilst Dan leaving was a surprise, seeing EE live with Travis has more than convinced me he’s the man to carry vocals going forward. Gabe absolutely smashing the guitar work once again, please keep doing your thing. Can’t wait for more lads 🤘

must admit when I saw them the second time live and it was Travis and not Dan, I was a little upset but being open minded to idea to giving another vocalist a chance, I'm not disappointed in the slightest. Whati enjoy the most out of this is the fact that Travis is using his unique vocals and style to work with how EE plays and not trying to mimic Dan's vocals. This song is worth waiting for the new album to drop, my ears will bleed with happiness and begging for more.
Gonna miss Dan in EE the energy he brought to this band is just unmatched in my opinion...but Travis is an amazing vocalist as well and im hyped to hear more with him he needs more love🔥

Can't think of a better outcome than Travis leading this band into this awesome direction, while Dan gives us new material with Mire Lore. Us fans just ended up with 2 top notch, genuinely interesting bands to enjoy.

From what I've noticed, that's Gabe's signature downpitch combination. Two pitches that sounded like two guitars being played together, but not panned apart for a more dissonant effect. He also did that in Blood & Teeth (C1/C#1, followed by A0/A#0 and G#0/A0).
