Everyone kisses your arse to keep being close to the limelight, everyone tries to be indispensable, nobody wants to tell you the truth and you start to expect what has become normal. Those with pre-existing friends are the lucky ones, they might be able to trust them to be honest and leave all the Hollywood BS behind when they're spending time with you. But real friendship is rare in such a superficial environment where everything is about the optics, and how knowing this person will hurt your career but knowing this dude will elevate it drives associations, not friendship and shared experiences.
The only friends they have that they can trust are pre-fame friends, so yeah, Stallone and Statham sure as shit aren't friends, any more than I've been friends with most of the people I've worked with. They're colleagues, no more than that.
