    Glad you enjoyed the trails. Some of the trails have been there for over 20 years.
    OTG was built in 2018 by me and the name is my business. Off The Grid Mtb
    No surprises when Covid was built when I live at Badaguish. Some work will be done on it soon.

    Well, I caught my bars and went OTB whilst chasing Neil Wilson from Off The Grid (who made some / all the trails) down covid so I'd say 800mm bars are too wide! Could be Neil's just better than me on a bike though!! He'd be a good guide / someone worth you catching up with

    Have to say since I’m just starting out on trails your videos have been a massive help especially looking for places I want to go.
    Everyone is telling me to try carron valley since I’m just starting out and it’s fairly local just wondering what other peoples opinions are on the place

    • @BurgeBikes
      @BurgeBikes 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya Pikachu loving SOB!
      Carron Valley is a good look into MTB trails. Certainly on the easier side of things, they would be on par with Glentress Blues for the most part.
      Nothing to really catch you out on Eas Dubh or Cannonball, Runway is the better of the 3.
      Canada Wood is also local to you and easier again than Carron Valley, however, it does have the Funduro and Rooty Tooty to give you an intro into riding roots and line choice.
      Natural trails in Stirling - Cambusbarron, North 3rd, Uni/Mine woods, Kippenrait and also Dumyat and Witches Craig woods are where I cut my teeth!
      Gimme a shout if you want a look :)
      I'm only in Alloa and only been riding for a year so a pretty fresh pair of eyes and know where you're coming from without being jaded by decades of experience haha.

      I’ve actually never been to Carron Valley, so couldn’t say. Glentress is the benchmark and we’ll have the widest variety of trails for you. Comrie Croft and Laggan Wolftrax are also great, but don’t have as many trails on offer.

    I’m up in Aviemore next week for my 40th. Any recommendations for some chilled evening rides with a bit of tech, pencilled in Lairig Ghru if there’s not too much snow but just trying to get some lower level ideas for a evening spin.

    Could it possibly be better management of forests ie better gaps between trees.🤔...most forests trees are so close they take each other down... or just long wet spells then gales...take care with them crossbars😱😉😉

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suspect your right. Better spacing with more room and nutrients for the roots will definitely help.

    • @steelytail
      @steelytail 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the trees are purposely planted close together to to encourage them to grow straight up to give straight trees / wood. Them after a while they are thinned out removing the twisted / dead / unsuitable ones to leave the others to grow larger. most of the trees there are fairly thin so not an old crop.

    • @McTrailRider
