Thanks Charles, yes it's going well. Not a lot of change to the old last one overall I must admit, but nice to have the new model and it's new features. Happy Birthday by the way!
I forgot about the big tides predicted. Wind against the tide on the Bay was pretty rotten for that last 20 minutes or so! If we’d timed it 30 minutes earlier might have been much smoother!
Hey Paul. We here in the southern half of WA have so many restrictions comapred to where you are. One rule that has been lifted is the PWC size to distance from main land, PWC under 2.84 (i think) wasn't allowed past the 5 nautical mile ofshore but now those restrictions have been lifted and any size can go beyond that limit only if the skipper is conferdent and has the appropriate safety gear. But sill can't ride befor sunrise or after dusk, so basicly no dark time riding even if you have the lighting system on your PWC like you have. Then there is the fishing ban here: Catching demersal scalefish from a boat will be prohibited from: 1 February to 31 March (inclusive); 1 August to the beginning of the September/October school holidays; and. end of the September/October school holidays to 15 December (inclusive). WA sucks in this respect, so cant take your kids out to fish for the likes of snapper. Nice catch on the snapper. Love the new ride :)
One of the things we jetski fishos need to do is have recognition that we use a new class of vehicle that should have the same rules as a (fishing) boat. We don’t generally do the things that have restricted rec Jetski’s from so many waterways plus added so many restrictions. The fishing rules seem very strict in WA. Is the science accurate and stocks have been diminishing?
I have a question for you. What are those high side panels or or compartments you have on your JetSki is that for extra fuel or what is that that is quite unusual looking and I’m just curious.
Hi Eric. The side pods are callled "Tubbies" and are a storage unit designed for fishing. They add a lot of storage for fishing gear,. You can put a fish bag with ice inside keeping the rear deck of the ski completely free of obstruction. ,They also include a live bait tank on the rear (yellow bottles) with water fed from the ski's jet pump.. You also get cutting boards, and small "dashboards" where you can place your fishing tools like pliers and lipgrips, plus of course cupholder! The added width and buoyancy makes the ski far safer overall. See the complete ski fitout and explanation on this video : th-cam.com/video/tsWCxvq0vIY/w-d-xo.html
I was expecting your next video to include new mods such as a sail or wind-surf sail considering fuel costs these days 😳😅 Great snapper haul, gotta love that. Quality of footage and editing is fantastic, great effort 👌
Yes with the ks we do, a sail would be a good idea! Thanks for the positive vibes on the video. I’ve always been a photographer and videographer so combing passions (fishing, video, editing, audio) keeps my life interesting and mentally fulfilling.
Just not regarded as a good table fish locally James. Some people like them but the Mac Tuna are more of a pest here! Especially when there’s so many other tasty fish to be had! At times they’re thick here too so not much of a challenge to catch. Most people let them go -or use them as bait!
Hi there. The Tubbies are made in Durban, South Africa by Racetech Yamaha. In Australia, Shoreline Jetskis import them by the container and sell them to the local enthusiasts. Thanks for watching.
I like your enthusiasm and energy for fishing.
God bless.
I appreciate that! Thanks very much for watching!
Great video Paul looks like the new set up is getting some good use

Enjoyed watching this. Why are the Bonita (Mac tuna) not worth keeping?

@@Jetcast cheers. I’ll use them as crab bait then haha.
@@jamesj8309 yep they would be ideal for that but you will probably end up with sharks in your crab pots!
Where are you all buying the tubbies from
