How we wee raised really affects how we perceive , give and receive love and the kind of a partner we chose for ourselves. People who were brought up in love like Eli are hard to find a partner because they have an idea of what love actually is and they tend to find themselves in healthier relationships. I'd rather you leave the girl alone from the beginning. Also, men should be more honest about their expectations in relationships instead of tagging some poor girl along for n+ years, and when asked, they act surprised when their partners ask for a ring. Communicate your intentions early so that people know what's happening and they can plan ahead.
I don’t know that the idea is to pursue and capture but rather to pursue and experience a person which means you are in a constant active state in relationships. Putting up a front in your pursuit means the ‘other’ gets attracted to an ideal and not you. When you then withdraw the front after you get their attention, you are not the person the ‘other’ fell for and that is dubious.

Communicate your intentions early so that people know what's happening and they can plan ahead.
I don’t know that the idea is to pursue and capture but rather to pursue and experience a person which means you are in a constant active state in relationships. Putting up a front in your pursuit means the ‘other’ gets attracted to an ideal and not you. When you then withdraw the front after you get their attention, you are not the person the ‘other’ fell for and that is dubious.

On Ali Abdaal's channel, there's an episode where he previews a book, How Not to Die Alone by Logan Ury, and she says that we can all fall into one of three categories of dating tendencies with/without traits from the other two categories ,ie, romanticizers, hesitator and maximizers. You guys are scrutinizing Eli for nothing. I totally can relate. Sometimes even finding that person you are sure of not marrying can be difficult juu unapata tu watu wa upuzi. Soft people like Eli can be taken advantage of easily in relationships. Plus there are people who fear the " Let's try and see where it goes" It could land you in trouble in future. You rather stay single than date for the sake of dating. Some people are still figuring out even their sexuality for God's sake🤣.
