    When Putin was asked about his absence at G20 in India, he said that he didn't wish to embarrass friends. Recently, the G20 sherpa made a revelation that PM Modi decided to leave G20 if a joint declaration wasn't passed. Did we take the NDLD more seriously than it should have been taken. Brazil will decide.

    A balancing act and diplomatic tightrope was full on display during the Indian PM's visit to Russia. The optics of the Modi-putin bonhomie triggered outrage in the west. While europe may be active listeners, Washington caught in a presidential poll season is not amused. The Indian side called for ceasefire and toed global south's expectations for peace. The ultimate takeaway from this visit is that New Delhi-Moscow ties remain on an even keel and stood the test of time but India needs to convince the West to see reason in strategic autonomy and choices. It must see India's stance on Ukraine conflict as an endorsement of its own national interests rather than endorsing Putin or his political system.

    Anything relating to Russia now especially Russia- India relations, I think the Armenia case should have been mentioned. How Russia completely failed to protect Armenia, which has now joined ICC and embraced good relations with France and USA.
    India has also moved swift to somehow leverage this gap now created. Armenia may be a small country, but can be strategically important for India vis-a-vis relations with Russia.

    • @ritika5363
      @ritika5363 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      India is called non aligned as it didn't side with one country to play on another country. It didn't become the tool , pawn or battleground for cold war between the two powers like Vietnam War, Korean War, pakistan in Afghan soviet war etc. It did have soft corner for USSR due to tilt towards socialism and also due to non interference policy of USSR in terms of Indo Pak unlike USA who threatened India vis a vis pakistan. At the same time, we didn't go against USA on behalf of USSR unless usa's attack on 1971 happened.

    Nice to have CTC after a while. Just asking at 4:06, if it's an annual summit then why does it have to be twice a year?

    Plenty of time to visit Russia but no time for Manipur.
    Might as well make Manipur part of Russia.

    Even if trade deficit is there we have saved approximately 12 billion dollars per year. Else we mandatorily have to buy oil from Iraq Saudi at higher prices. Secondly india refines Russian crude and sells to Europe and USA. Trade deficit with Russia is a Positive deficit and with china is a triple negative deficit.
    Most importantly as you mentioned Strategic partnerships Russia still provides the cutting edge technology which the western powers are jealous be it the Nuclear submarines program, India’s cryogenic engine programs India’s manned space mission etc

      Russia makes ZERO (Or Negative) profit by selling Low Cost Oil to India. They spend Rubles to produce oil and India wants to buy in Rupees. This is not a viable Long Term Trading option.

    Fight in Ukraine also means delay and degrade inS400 system that is direct benefit to china, otherwise china can’t intimidate India and India could get strong position…so war has multiple faces and consequences to world… all fault to USA and nato … if Ukraine was in nato ..
