I did Hawaii Car Transport.. I have a 2004 Nissan Frontier, from Oakland, CA to Hilo on the Big Island it was $1599 and took 3 weeks. Great company
Sell all of your things.. you don’t need it all except the bare necessities. Especially, if you have a huge home on the mainland. Places are small.
I feel like I would keep my things in a storage unit just in case I decided to move back to the mainland. You could always get someone to auction off your items if you want to at a later date.
We recently moved from LA to the southeast to save to move to Hawaii in the next two years, and that move alone cost $5000, and that was just state to state mainland. People forget the moving itself can be really costly
My $40k quote for household goods and SUV from the east coast of Mainland created skid marks in my plans as I had to halt and rethink everything!
It can get pricy. Especially if you're coming from the east coast and even more so if gas prices are expensive.

My roundtrip flights from DC to Hawaii are typically $800-$900 anytime of the year.

The picture was the Makaha beach cabanas. Some of those are on Airbnb at a monthly rate of around $3500.

how can you say 400usd per night for a hotel is not too bad if you need to pay for a month?? please, thats's 12000 usd. that's insane! you seem a bit confused because you are even saying you can plan for 2000usd per month for a hotel room and you are a real estate agent? very strange math mate

Did you have any luck finding a flight for them? I have a 93 pound German Shepard that sits 36 inches tall. I had to get the petmate vari kennel that was 35” tall and get the dryfur 5” extension so that his ears don’t touch the crate roof. Hawaiian airlines flight 15 looked like the only aircraft that will fit the 40” tall crate I have. Making the move in July and am nervous about getting the doggo there!
Do you think it would be better to just sell your vehicles and use Uber to get around since traffic and parking is so bad in Hawaii.

I got my one way ticket to Hawaii for 300 bucks direct flight from NYC.
I've never heard of a direct flight from NYC! That's be like 9-10 hrs straight, don't know if I could handle that!
