i know im 4 months late to this, but what fantastic use of the Picture in Picture whenever there were several fights going on. really great production quality!

I think what makes them boring is that on water maps, you have to be almost 100 percent committed on water. And ships battle is so badly designed in aoe4. It's all about hulk spam and demolition ship spam. These water matches, all you see is 2 balls of ships, fire several times at each other, and immediately have to back off after demolition ships come near, and this goes on repeat for 100 times in one game. Whoever fucks up first loses, there is literally no strategy, just apm. Land maps are much more enjoyable, there are so many different plays, units, situations.
I think this partly because they decided to make demo’s part of the rock-paper-scissors of naval combat. I feel like a ramming/boarding melee style ship would’ve been much better . They’d get a decent charge bonus and then would enter a sustained combat where they would out trade the Springald ships, and maybe even or slightly worse trade with arrow ships. Plus they would slow or lock down movement of ships the grapple. Gives more room for civs having different stats for ships as well, like some get more ram damage, some more boarding damage, some more movement, etc.
Why can't I see how many civs each of them have on what resources? per min stats doesn't explain to me anything... :( Can we fix this please in future?
