In general all aspects of chess24 except its reputable representatives are subpar. The board looks cheap and feels slow with weird color mismatched arrows. The brand name and logo also seem cheap. The good news is that these things are easily fixed and in doing so chess24 would easily become the most successful digital chess platform due to their connection to Magnus Carlsen.
@@juliusable I will watch wherever Magnus Carlsen is doing banter blitz. Chess 24 is flawed but it is good enough for me as I am a compulsive viewer of these banter blitz sessions. Are you from another platform such as Lichess or Chess.com?
Having watched Magnus many times now playing blitz (thank you chess 24), i believe that one of the most important things he does is "constantly remain in focus" and "actually thinking about the game throughout the whole game". He remains up to the task for the whole game, he does what he is supposed to do. 1:10:07 what prevents him from capturing the knight instead of playing rb4? He doesn’t loose the rook, because the queen hangs and if qb5+ the knight goes back to c6. Am I missing something?
That happens when you're only good because of tactics. Against the world champion, you will get crushed more quickly if your positional understanding is deficient.
At 24:17 Carlsen had a Queen pin with the Bishop to B7. His Queen covered the D5 square which is the opponent's only counter to block the pin by the opponent of Knight to D5. Would win the Queen in the resolution.
