VoicePlay's clarity of diction is one of the things I really appreciate. I find it so hard to understand many modern singers as they sacrifice diction for sound effect.

I'm hearing it took them EIGHTY tries to get that last low note of his right.
I agree that Omar's one of my favorite male guest vocalists they've had. He brings a very different tone to the high tenor parts than Eli because Eli's very gritty while Omar is not, which makes for great contrast. Like Cesar he's very skilled at blending with other vocalists, and those waterfall vocal tumbles he does are incredibly good. I've enjoyed every song I've heard that he was involved with.
If you want another one with rapping, I definitely recommend checking out their I Knew You Were Trouble/As Long As You Love Me. It's an older video, and the first one with Rachel Potter actually, and we get to hear Layne spit bars.
I know you either have or will watch this again, so when you do, pay attention to Geoff’s baseline all throughout the song. His bAseline and Layne’s vocal percussion drive the whole thing!
When you speak of Omar sometimes using a ”horizontal” tone instead of an open voice, I realized what I was sensing. When he sings horizontally, he sounds a bit like Stevie Wonder even though their underlying voices are quite different. And I don't think I have heard Stevie sing with Omar's clear, open sound.
I really enjoyed watching you groove. This is one of my favorites. Everyone gets their chance to shine and I agree, Omar's voice is downright yummy. SO GOOD!!

This is probably my favorite Stevie Wonder song....but after Voiceplay absolutely crushed a grand slam on another of my all-time favorite 70's songs, "Carry On Wayward Son," I had no concerns at all about what they would do with this classic.
