Slowly but surely, we all know Korea and Japan love “cuter” concepts but despite that Babymonster has still manages to not only take the hearts of the world but also from koreans and japanese, which really shows their unstoppable potential
These "brand reputation" things have always been nonsensical. They just play around with the ranking order using the names of the groups that seem most in the news/social media (only Korean media/Korean social media). There is no methodology that can be independently fact-checked. There is no evidence that the "Korea Business Research Institute" really exists as any kind of "institute" that does any significant "research". There is no evidence that any companies or businesses pay any attention to the "brand reputation" rankings for anything. I'm surprised that Kpop fans haven't figured it out yet.
Not to mention China. They are very well known there since Ahyeon is fluent in Chinese 🙆🏻♀️❤️
Many Japanese already shown if they have to pay, they would go for BM fanmeet rather than Kcon.

Brand recognition only applies to South Korea and Japan- you keep forgetting the same thing happened between Twice and Blackpink! While JYP was focused on Twice catering to the Eastern Countries YG was playing the long game and focused on the Western Countries- look who won that game of Risk. The same thing is happening again. Companies want to win the East but are forgetting the recognition of the West ie( North America, South America, Europe) last time I checked there are quite a few people who live there

With all the bad press of Illit encore and the fight between Hybe and Min Ju, how is it possible that they are still first. Not only first, but improved by 200 over percentage. That is kinda absurd.

@@marksmith8210 TBH, we don't even know if they use an algorithm. At best, they do something like that and it only counts name mentions in Korean media (including social media). They've never provided details on the methodology that can be independently fact-checked. There is not even any evidence that the "Korea Business Research Institute" really exists. (No website, no address, no information on founder or CEO, no reports on it as a real thing in any mainstream Korean news media). It's only ever reported in Kpop gossip media. It literally could be just one person playing around with a laptop in his/her bedroom somewhere. It seems to have originated with one of the older Kpop gossip sites as just a monthly gimmick to get clicks and views because Kpop fans are obsessed with ranking lists.
My guess HYBE paid for this promotion

Every month we get the "brand reputation" ranking. People still haven't figured out that it's nonsense? It has nothing to do with any real "brand reputation". No businesses or brands pay any attention to it. It's ONLY reported every month on Kpop gossip sites. No serious mainstream media give it any attention. The "Korea Business Research Institute" is not a real thing..certainly nothing important like the name implies. There is no website, physical address or any evidence that it exists as a real "institute" that does serious "research"... and it's only mentioned in these monthly "ranking" reports. At best, it's likely just somebody counting name mentions in Korean media. But they could even just make stuff up however they want because they never provide any methodology that can be independently fact checked.

More English , raps, more vocal RnB, more variety of genre, more music releases, less time in YG’s dungeon, etc. No shade on them, just my taste and desires. XG feeds me regularly, so I get my fix often, talent and creativity, so I am hooked. Still like many other groups music though.
