Funfact, for those of you that have been comparing this game with FF and Square Enix's game in general:
The design of this game was made by CyDesignation. and its CEO is Hideo Minaba, the art director of FF VI and was involved in many other FF Games. Also, the Sound Director of this game is Nobuo Uematsu, The guy that made the older FF games music.. so yeah, It has a very strong FF vibes because of it... the more you know right?
Yeah but it's not like there's much to do with this game except on giving it the well execution it deserves.
GBF has already strongly established itself in the Japan market. So it's not like they're building up all of the story, heroes etc. from a blank slate.
I just hate how those Japanese reacted in the video, gosh their creaming is so fake to me.

i love that at 8:00 we can see the female knight is holding that long haired girl's hand and run because through that we can kinda see the characters personality, little details like that always make the game more interesting.
well, katalina's duty is to protect lyria
katalina (female, older knight) has made it a point to protect lyria (young girl with long blue hair) with her life. she cares very deeply for her, they've been through a lot together, and their relationship is like that of a close relationship between mother and child. this game is seriously a love letter to already established granblue fans with it's callbacks to the plot of the mobile game/main game
She does the same in the anime shoot im pretty sure the first episode that happens lol

@@kopzz I agree but gameplay wise it is, the combat and mechanics are pretty simple and abusable compared to their other works. Also you might be confusing Platinum with Taro.
@Revenant Let me guess, you didn't play the original Nier did you? Cause Nier A is basically the ultimate Nier experience, if it get's a bit better it becomes a different game. So yeah it's not great platinum gameplay but as a Nier game it's basically perfection. Imo they should be commended for toning down their gameplay department to better fit with Yoko Taro's vision, at the expense of making a objectively worse game than they could, and that would also trigger some people like you.
Leave them at their own, and they make Bayonetta 1 and 2, Wonderful 101, etc, which to me are all the second coming of Jesus. So if GBF Relink lands anywhere between Nier A and Bayonetta, I'm content.

Wow it looks even better than I imagined! Although the combat seems to be an action jrpg instead of true platinum character action, it still looks really good! This and that versus game just jumped up my must-buy list whenever they both come out globally.

Everyone is praising platinum games and yeah, they did a great job this time but any credits for Cygames? I mean this is their game and I think they are second to none in story writing and making character imo so really wish more people know about Cygames.
great story will be bullshit without proper handling on how the game will be created. So it make sense if people say their gratitude more to Platinum as the developer.
Well yeah, cygames never made console games before but they really made their mobile games really well. Anyways high hopes from this game as it's from 2 of my favorite company
Well Cygames has a advantage of not being to well known if it does it will become like lot of AAA companies. I think with this title Platnium will be great gameplay side of things and Cygames for it's art,ost,world and story.

Platinum didnt developed those games alone. either they colloborated with another game studio or they hired a script writer ( Yoko Taro for nier automata for instance) to make the story. If it wasnt for yoko taro with his twisted and brilliant plot, the game would have been shit just like their other failed titles.

@@apathy526 yes im aware...but come to think of it, one piece protagonist are many, it can have a lot of moves like chopper, nami , robin become support, usopp and franky range attack and monster trio is melee... i mean dev wont have hard time applying it into games because the manga itself is have so much reference
For those not aware, this is from the Granblue Fantasy Festival 2018 and some members of the cast are watching one of the developers play this portion of the game. Lyria's (the girl with the long light blue hair) voice actress was one of them.
On another note, I love how in the boss fight they're freaking out over poor Lyria getting caught up in the fight, since of the characters present (the female knight Katalina, the young sorceress Io, the experienced gunslinger Rackham and the main character Gran) she's the only one who isn't a fighter even in the mobile game. I like that touch of her using a barrier to protect herself and then shield the others during that one attack.
And Vyrn (the little dragon) zipping around is adorable.
so if this is good then ill probably put platinum on my top 10 radar list...nier and bayonetta are great

But don't forget that they are also behind pretty bad games like that Korra game or the Tmnt game or Star Fox Zero.
@@norinradd1607 when you need money you don't care what you need to do. Those games were Activision being cheap as possible. Platinum needed money or else they risked closing, so they bit beside star fox.

With the fact that Platinum collaborated on this, and how good it looks and plays, and that it's not releasing until sometime in 2020, this could seriously give FF7 Remake a run for its money as best jrpg of 2020!

To be fair, when asked for a release date, they said they didn't have one yet, and then they announced the other project they have (the Versus game), so i wouldn't be expecting Relink sooner than late 2019.

The story of this series is fascinating... It started as a mobile-browser game and managed to spawn lot of merchandising, mangas, an anime and now more serious games.
It is pretty popular in Japan, though obscure in the West.
Similar situation of Monster Hunter and Fire Emblem in the past.
I hope this game cover all (or most) of the first arc, I would love to fight Akasha as final boss in this game

I never get tired of Sawashiro Miyuki's voice its so good
As a Skyfarer this is a treat. It looks great. The only things I'm concerned for are the models, AI(super fast Katalina) and the animation/battle speed(looks really slow in my eyes), but that's just a demo(probs alpha). If they'll change it for the full version, Relink is going to be amazing.
I thought Katalina constantly going ahead of Gran was intentional. It kinda makes sense, since she's a defensive unit and needs to be on the frontline of the party to tank damage, and she was also a lieutenant during her time in the empire, so her being in the lead seems natural to me.
@@tr_shi00 I've taken that into the account, but the problem is not with her position(being on the frontline), but with the way she's spriting(she's too far away at times) , it kinda glitches her as well. I'm sure it's just early AI problems, since AI is troublesome to properly adjust.
I'm still crying about how great this looks, just seeing how true to YHE source the visuals are are too much for me

Cannot wait for this game. It has the heart and soul of a true JRPG, like what all the great PS1 JRPGs had wanted to be like if technology was there. The character designs and atmosphere are impeccable.

early games in jrpg is always grind, late game you have shit like exp bonuses items etc so its much easier then

@@ronnymahendra9035 god that shower was good anyways, no not rly your always efficient late game and there are more leveling methods then early and you got more items like exp boosters aswell ( most of the times ) , exceptions are special enemys that shown at random and give huge exp, those things you can always abuse a good example is the iconic cactuar from final fantasy, would be cool if you could find those things in kh3 bc they never implemented him in the kh series

DUUUDE, this is freakin' SUGOI. After the massive failure Star Ocean was I'd given up hope for this genre of games. Granblue is renewing this genre and even setting the standards at this point. Absolutely amazing. Day 1 for me.
Platinum Games is no longer offering their hand in this game's production... it's all CyGames now. Not that they're bad or anything. CyGames is one of the most explosive developers of recent memory, they accomplished in 5 years what took other companies decades to build. They've grown from card games, mobile gaccha games, anime and PC games all to where they are now. If that isn't success I don't know what is.
On top of that, they consist of vets who helped shape the JRPG genre. I was a bit bummed by the news of Cygames no longer renewing the contract with PlatinumGames but I’m still beyond excited for this game.

man i’ve been waiting for this game since it was first announced years ago, i’m sooo hyped for this, but the only grip i have with this game is that i wish there was a character creator, i would love to create literally a Guts like character to either be Gran/Djeetas and Lydia’s protector or even be the captain of the Grancypher crew, i guy could dream haha

@Valtrass69 I don't see what age has to do with this, and I also don't see how they're not comparable. Like you said yourself, they're both fantasy games. Only someone with a shallow mind would not be able to compare them because they're not absolutely identical. From what I've seen in both this trailer and the previous one, this games has better graphics, better atmosphere, better music and more interesting characters. I also know for a fact that this game will have a much more interesting premise than DQ XI since I am familiar with the browser game.
